I think it may be a good idea to take my wheel house off Mille Lacs after this weekend.
Geico wouldn’t insure an Ice Castle because it was “Designed to be used on the ice”
I wouldn’t want to test them on covering a vehicle either.
I had great luck with Gulp shrimp too. Fishing a wreck is fun, I have always fished in the Keys and learned a ton from this book. https://www.amazon.com/Fishing-Key-West-Lower-Keys/dp/0813032946
It says Florida, but the tactics apply elsewhere. Great info on fishing near wrecks too.
Didn’t this start with GM removing all taxidermy from the walls?
We have a friends fishing tourney every year. A few of us have New boats with full electronics. My friend last year won the entire thing in a 25 year old 15 foot Lund, with just a 15 hp outboard. Zero electronics.
I have had the Yamaha for about a year now, it has been great. As others have said, the fuel shut off is nice. A couple of things I’d add.
It seems the Yamaha is now made in China, I don’t believe the Honda is.
If you ever need service, I hardly ever see Yamaha dealers around, let alone one that will service a generator. I do see more Honda service centers.
There is a Yamaha clone called Smarter Tools, It is powered by the same Yamaha Engine and is $200 less.

I’d like to offer a $25 reward for this kidding.
I started putting my name on everything, in hopes someone honest finds my items and returns it. I hope you find it. Have you tried the Ice fishing groups on Facebook?
Actually the minuscule temp increase they came up with over the past 200 years is quite flawed. There was no quality control in how or when they took temperature readings. If you think about the age of the earth, and the minute amount of time we have been on the earth, it would be insane to think we can predict or cause warming or cooling trends.
There is a Ice Castle Owners group on facebook with a ton of information as well.
I let my friend take my 3/4 Cummins into Isle (from our shack)
I told him several times to follow the ice road and not veer off, as there was at least 16 inches of ice. He left the plowed and marked road and dropped the front of my truck into an ice crack.
Needless to say, that is the last time I lend a vehicle.
Mine had a plugged line, I had to take it apart and clean it as Outdraft detailed. I have since added an inline filter and it hasn’t had a problem since.
First time my friend had his Clam one man on the ice was 2 weekends ago. When we got to our destination, the sled already had holes worn through it. The otter has made this same trek without runners several times. Due to this, we had to haul the shacks back on our ATV. (Picture below) My brother in law hauled his new clam 2 person out, when he got to his spot the sled had several large dents in it. Again the otter was fine. I think they are pushing the quality down for larger profits.
Yep, Bought mine from Amazon and converted all my cans back to the way they should be
Last summer adding fuel to the pressure washer, I didn’t realize the new “EPA_HOLE” can was under pressure, when I pushed the nozzle against the edge of the gas tank, fuel came out highly pressurized and splashed me in the face.
That is what prompted me to change them all over.
I made my own, it was really easy. I took a chunk of tubing, cut it off at about 3 inches. attached that to a small steel rod. pounded the end of the rod with a hammer. I did the same to the other end and pop riveted it together. It works great.

Spoke to Jack.He said that when the terrovas start malfunctioning, he recommends new batteries. Deep cycle batteries, that is. These motors are very sensitive to voltage and any worn down batteries will cause the controls to malfunction.
Sad thing is that I had a bank on my Minnkota charger fail for who knows how long and probably ruined a battery.
He said the when people replace the batteries, he doesn’t hear from them again.
Next call is to Minnkota to verify.
Oh man my batteries were new last year.
This doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. As the batteries are discharging during operation of the trolling motor, they are losing voltage. They are designed to handle a range of voltages as they discharge. If this was the case, as soon as the motor started discharging, the trolling motor would act up.
Just my 3 cents.
I have the same issue you are describing. Makes navigating in Prescott tough!
I looked at both a GMG and a Treager and went with the GMG> I really liked the WI-FI temp control app for my phone.
GMG has answered their phone on a sunday at 4pm to help me with a grill question.
Tony’s appliance has both grills on display and you can compare them both first hand.
Thanks BK for checking into this, I didn’t think it sounded right either.
This guy said it happened a bit differently, but I of course wasn’t there. He told me the CO said to throw the fish back or he will take them and that’s when my friend said they probably won’t live anyways but tossed them back.
I just asked him if he stayed on the water after getting the citation, and he explained the CO was going to follow him to the boat launch but fell behind. While he was waiting for the CO to catch up he started fishing again. That part didn’t go over too well with the CO, (which I get)
I do know this guy wouldn’t keep an undersized or illegal fish.
Been fishing with him for years..
I am a fan of CO’s and I haven’t had a bad experience with one yet.
Just wondering…
Is it possible your friend didn’t catch any fish in the first place and wanted to blame someone, in this case the CO for his bad luck?
Obviously I wasn’t there, but that would make more sense then the CO making him toss out a legal catch.
I do have several friends that I would suspect that exact scenario , but this guy is honest, never had a reason to doubt him.
I too thought it was odd that he had to toss out fish.
One of my complaints with pellet grills is the fact that they only have one rack, just not enough space.
I added this to mine

I bought a Green Mountain Grill pellet grill. Love it. bought the Daniel Boone model. have burned thru 100 lbs of hardwood pellets. electric, wi fi and runs from an app on iphone.
gets up to 500 degrees and I can smoke ribs and pork low and slow at 225 without a problem. I think I was $800.00 for all including cover and a cpl of bags of pellets. really good deal for the money.
I am in the same boat, a GMG Boone model. The Wi-fi control is awesome!
I’ve used it non stop since picking it up a couple of weeks ago.
We have fixed several broken skegs and they look good as new after being repaired.
