One of my seals also went out on my 2005 F150 this spring.
Purchased all the parts from Yamaha dealer for both cylinders, was going to purchase the spanner wrench from Amazon but decided to have a shop do it.
Labor was less than $70.00 at Resort Marine in Walker marine, it was a no brainer. The tech that work on it said the caps were very tight.

I just replaced 3 blades on a John Deere 7 Iron Pro 72 deck with Oregon blades
These blades are heavy and have the same dimensions and thickness as the John Deere OEM blades.

    I’ve used grillparts.com
Replaced the 3 burners and shields on a Ducane that I keep at Leech.
No issues, work like new again.

I have the Boomerang which works great when new, it’s several years old and doesn’t give a clean cut like it use to.
Just ordered the Rapala Precision Line Scissors, recommended by a friend who has been using it for years without any issues.

    Correct, distilled white.
I used a spray bottle, applied a little heavier in the worst spots on the edge where the Weather Tech mat didn’t cover.
    Spray 50/50 vinegar.
    Wait up to 5 minutes,
    Work in with soft brush.
Blot up with towel, spray clean water, blot up again and/or use shop vac.

I’ve done this and it works well:
Mix equal parts white vinegar and water.
Spray or pour the vinegar-water solution into the salt-stained carpet.
Let it soak for 2-3 minutes. This helps to break down the crystalized salt.
Use a soft brush or damp cloth to rub down the affected area.
    Blot with paper towels/dry towel
    Leave to air dry.

There is no lingering vinegar odor once dry.

Jumping into this late and may have been already covered with HBird support.
This is from Humminbird’s web site:

Confirm that i-Pilot Link is listed as connected. It may take a minute for the equipment to be detected. You will refer to this view throughout the update. Note the current software version number shown next to i-Pilot Link. Additional software version NOTES.

NOTE: If the Accessory Test View is not shown in the submenu, select the Main Menu > Views tab > Accessory Test > Visible.

I have a seasonal on Leech Lake and am up there Mid April through mid October, spend most my time there.
The wife’s family lake home is in central Minnesota 2 hours from Leech.

Retired and come and go as I please….
    Ahhhhh…

I ordered a Helix 9 G3N Mega SI from Cabela’s on 2/15 to pick up in Rogers MN.
They had the $300 off and an additional 10% one day deal if you ordered that day
Two days later I decided to add a 2nd unit to pickup, still had the $300 off.

I went to pick them up and asked for a price match to include the additional 10% on the 2nd unit and they did.
Total out the door price was $1163.94 each.

These are to replace my 800 series units, I’ll keep one of the 800 series on the dash for mapping and network the Helix’s, 800 series and iPilot Link.

Your ethernet hub will work, you’ll just need the adapter cable for the Helix which is about 12″ long and the appropriate length cable to your hub.
You can share waypoints, that would be the extent of the sharing due to a Helix/Non Helix configuration setup.

I’ll be swapping my 800 series units with 2 Helix 9 Chirp MEGA SI+ GPS G3N.
Will be keeping one of the units on the dash for mapping only and networked to the Helix units and Ipilot Link

From the Humminbird web Networking Chart:
Ethernet Cable = AS EC10E, AS EC 15E, AS EC 20E or AS EC 30E, selecting the length needed. If more than 30 feet is required, purchase AS ECX 30E plus additional length
1 Waypoints, routes and tracks along with i-Pilot Link, 360 Imaging and CHIRP RADAR are shared. NMEA 2000 can be used at the same time with one drop direct to ONIX/ION and one drop to the NMEA2000 Gateway.

2 CHIRP Sonar will only be shared with other HELIX networking models with software version 1.350 or higher.

3 MEGA Imaging sonar will only be shared with other HELIX G2N and newer models or with other SOLIX models.

Chart Link for compatibility and cables needed:

    Hope this helps

I have the Green Mountain Davy Crockett.
It’s the small Green Mountain grill.
Things I like are the portability, take it from my lake home in Central MN to my seasonal at Leech Lake.
Will run on 120v or 12v if needed.
I recently ordered the Don Godke’s Downdraft to be installed which arrived a couple days ago, looking forward to some ribs.

Another one to look at is Facebook Marketplace, a lot of things sold on there.
    Sorry for your loss.
    Good luck

I have Cisco at the console and on the deck of the bow.
Very solid, and don’t move in any conditions.
    Easily removed if needed.
I’ve used the RAM and Johnny Ray’s in the past.

    I have a Tournament Sport.
My Ethernet switch is wired under the drivers console and is powered by an ACC switch, it’s out of the way and no wire or cables exposed.
My DI at the bow and SI on the console are wired and fused directly to the starting battery, I believe I used 12ga wire.

I have the same wiring as you at the bow but chose not to use it, didn’t want any potential interference or voltage drop issues.

In regards to your question, I would avoid wiring both Ethernet switch and Helix 7.
    Just my .02

I’ve done the mix match of the DI/SI units, if I remember it gave me a transducer not found error and didn’t mess up the networking.

As Tom P stated about the power cut off, there maybe/should be a main battery disconnect switch, usually back by the or on the main battery.

For me, I have the main disconnect on the battery.
This kills power to the console and all switches i.e. livewell, bilge, lights etc.
My ethernet switch is located under the console and wired to an auxiliary switch on the console.
To power up I close the battery disconnect, turn on main switch at console then the auxiliary switch for the ethernet if using the DI on the bow.

    Couple of things to check.
Are the graphs set to advanced mode? Not sure is it applicable.
Is your ethernet switch powered up? I have mine wired to a master switch and have forgotten to power it up on occasion.

    I have the Helix Ice7 G2 w/Dakota 10ah battery.
Got burned last Sunday with the case powering the unit up, was DOA when I got out on the lake.
The unit was charged prior, had something resting on it the by the back door the day prior ready to head out and powered it up.
I charged the battery and ran it to verify operation.
Left it run all day in the house with the backlight @ 5, it ran over 14.5 hours before I shut it down and recharged.
The battery gauge, for what it’s worth with lithium batteries was reading 82%.

I went with the EZEE steps last year with the retractable grab pole.
I also added the Drotto Boat Latch.
Both of these make launching/loading a breeze.
The money I spent/invested was less than the chiropractor bills from mid April to Mid June, the problem started when I had to leap off the boat to the dock when loading and tweaked it, had done it 100’s of times before.

Let them know what carrier your with if they don’t ask.
If the cable in between the antennas need connectors installed have them do it, they have all the tools/crimper.
You may be able to get by with a magnetic mount antenna with some gain for the exterior and just remove it when traveling, this would eliminate any corrosion from salty roads. Just my .02.

I have the same issue at our cabin, I’ll be doing the same thing this year.
    Good luck

Since you have service outside of your your fish house you could get by with a couple passive antennas, meaning no amplifier or booster hardware needed.
The antennas would be able to supply the gain needed to receive signal inside.
I am a recently retired Network Field Engineer for a wireless carrier, used this for the past 20 years when working in the sticks on outages with low/no coverage inside the building.
For those going with a booster/amplifier/repeater, be careful buy, there is some real junk out there, shut down 6 of them last year for causing interference on an FCC licensed frequency.

These guys are out of Rochester MN, give them a call and explain what you want to do, should be able to set you up for $50 – $100

Some of these have been mentioned already, here’s mine:
EZEE steps with the Retractable Grab Pole – Jacked my back up last year, was in the chiropractor 3x a week mid April through June, twisted ankles years prior, won’t have another boat with out them.
Drotto boat latch system – makes launching/loading by myself easy, this and the EZEE steps were added last year – love them both.
Cisco tracks with Flobe rod holders.
    Cisco electronics mounts
Minnkota Terrova w/ iPilot Link / Humminbirds
Ram mount for iPilot remote at console
    On-board charger
    LED trailer lights
    Goodyear Endurance tires
I may add LED lights with dimmer inside, we’ll see.
All compartments and live-wells already have them.
My Wedge motor support and centering clips – not looking for the debate
for these versus transom saver, I’ve used both…

I purchased one at the Ice Show in December and thought the same thing.
There is a small extension in a plastic bag, also has the hand held strap etc.

I have the same unit, this what I have for settings:

    1. Menu button twice, left or right to sonar tab.
Scroll to bottom, it should say Open Water, if so you are in Ice
Mode. (you would hit the right arrow for open water unit would
    reboot in open water mode)
    2. Under the Set Up tab, User Mode: Advanced
    3. Under the Views tab I currently have these Visible: Flasher/Sonar
View, Flasher/Sonar Zoom View, Flasher View.
    Hope this helps
