    Sap Warning:

Just wanted to say Congrats and wish you the best of luck, James. Also, wanted to say thank you! You have been a huge influence on me as well as countless others. I was quite moved by your message, excited for you and sad at the same time.

I live in a state where walleye are tough to find and even tougher to catch regularly, especially on the ice. I was at the point of giving up on ice fishing for walleye, that is until I stumbled across your show on YouTube. You provided common-sense techniques, products, and ideas that literally changed my world. You have opened my eyes and given me the confidence to become successful in the activity that I love most, chasing fish on the ice.

I often visit MPLS through work and have family there, so I will continue to hang on the hope of catching you at a show or seminar someday.

Going to miss you like a friend!

I received the Reeds package with the 8″ Strike Lite for Christmas last year. Definitely one of the best upgrades I’ve done for ice fishing. I thought it was a pretty sweet deal with the carry bag and third battery.

You bet, efrommung. I found it a bit odd that the Lite Flite is often shown in marketing promotions with that exact drill, yet it doesn’t seem to be a common issue.

I just set mine up on Christmas Day and had the same issue when using it with the Milwaukee Fuel 18.

While testing in the house, it was slipping when twisting by hand. To get it to grip, I chose to grind off the lip on the end of the adapter and make it match the Hex shaft . The jaws on the drill are full length on the inside of the chuck, so there wasn’t any room for the lip. In other words, the jaws were never able to reach the Hex shaft because of the lip. It worked perfectly and did not slip at all after grinding to match the Hex shaft.

I also wrapped 1 – 2 layers of black tape around shaft that fits into auger to snug up that fitting.

Over all, I am super impressed with the performance of the combo, crazy fast.

    Hope this helps.

Joe, I see your issues on another post, sorry to hear that you had such a rough time getting things working on your devices. That kind of scares me a little too. I emailed them and got a reply from them stating that the problem may be that I do not have a “USB 2.0 cable”. I verified that I do by checking the label on the cable. I then proved that it worked worked by testing on a Garmin GPS. I was very skeptical on going with a digital unit for this very reason. It makes a man rather grumpy to spend that kind of money on a unit and then spend more to send it right back to the manufacturer after only using it in simulator mode for 5 minutes.

Thanks Joe and Mudshark. I have tried it on three different computers and on both Win 7 and Win 10 operating systems. What I mean by showing up, is that it is not recognized in either My Computer (Win 7), or This PC (Win 10). I also checked in Device Manager and Disk Management to be sure. I do not get an Icon in my system tray either, the up arrow in lower right corner, that would indicate that a USB storage device is plugged in. When I test the same cable on a Garmin GPS it is recognized instantly. Thanks again for your responses.
