Do not like strong winds, or heavy rain or snow. I prefer to not be out in 65 above or less that 20 degree temps.

Born & raised on a Nebraska farm, and still love the Huskers!
Let’s give the ’94 & ’95 teams their due, but let’s not forget the ’70 & ’71 Huskers!!! &, & in ’97 when they took Payton Manning & the Tn Vols to the cleaners in the 42-17 whooping in the Orange Bowl. The worse thing that ever happened to NU was Callahan! Recruiting died, the top tier recruiting pipeline dried up. LOVE College football! GBR!!!

IMHO, The Stones, best rock group of all time, and their music has stood the test of time as has the group, but now, one is gone…. Thanks for all you have done Charlie…

    BIG “G” posted:
[Until we can tell ALL people, when you are interacting with a police person, their goal is to control the situation and to go home safe at shift end.. when ANYONE starts acting all crazy, things will escalate quickly. Can we get the message to people of all races… when dealing with police or military (NG) troops, please comply and live. When you get stupid, stupid things happen. It really is that simple, but the media will not put that message out, there is no money in people getting along.]

I totally agree and the media just ignores this seemingly basic FACT!

“Flatfish” as a kid growing up(a long way from MN), we trolled walleyes in our only big local lake using either cherry bobbers or Heddon Flatfish. I still have some in my boat. We changed up the colors when we went over into Wyoming and trolled for trout, sometimes all the way out to Flaming George for trout. Mostly used
F-7’s & X-5’s…. So Flatfish it is! ( oh my name is Tim, and I’m a now retired Certified Surgical Technologist)

I’m sitting on about 200#’s of lead ingots. I cast most of my own jigs. So, I guess I have to use 1oz and bigger now! You’d think ‘painted’ jigs wouldn’t be a problem!?

As James said, “talk about dismayed & depressed”!
I grew up in western Nebraska and remember Dick & Jim’s store in Sidney. Going down the steps and at the bottom was a barrel with fishing rods that they took back, but repaired, hence; the ‘Bargain Barrel’, soon to become the bargain bin. Then they moved upstairs in that building, and the lower level became the ‘bargain cave’.
If a kid came in with their parent, Dick & Jim made sure the kid left with something, even if it was a bobber! I will always miss what they once were!

John Timm : wondering if you have made your purchase yet? A lot of/good information/opinions have been shared. Important decision for sure.
In regards to something you mentioned. Loan on (used Tractor).
You’re right in that very few if any lenders will finance a used rig.
What I did, and it may or may not work for you, is being I own my pickup free and clear, I borrowed against my truck(lien). I did have a fair amount of cash on hand as I sold my JD 318, mower, snowblower before. Everyone’s situation is different. Find what works for you.
Let us know what you end up with….thanks

Truly, I have an ‘APP’ for plant identification.
I just took a picture of your posted picture w/the app. It is w/o a doubt: Wild Red Raspberry! They are great eating as has been mentioned. They can be dug and relocated any time of year.
BTW, the APP is called “picture this”. There is a purchase part of the app but I never ‘bought into it’!

    “WEAR A MASK”

Totally agree! Even a ‘fishing buff’ works, then toss it in the wash.
I worked most of my life wearing a mask. Not a big deal, just ‘do it!”

    Hi again,
My tractor that I bought used was 2 years old and had 112hrs on it. Looked and ran like brand new and they added a year of warranty to what was left. Buying slightly used I save thousands, enough to go buy the loader new…

    Hi,
There are some good ‘you-tube’ comparison videos out there. Amazingly enough, some of the best I saw were always being compared to John Deere. I’m saying that, several years ago I did buy a used JD 1023e, which had a 54″ ‘auto-connect’ deck, and a 49″snowblower. Exactly what I was looking for. I had checked all the tractor forums, and the for sale websites, and low-n-behold, one finally showed up in Alexandria, Mn. I made the deal and drove up to get it. A year later I bought a loader for it. The H120 with 49″ bucket. LOVE IT!
I knew a fella that bought a Massy and finally traded for a JD. Also knew od a guy that had a Kubota, 2 years later sold it(privately) and bought the 1025r JD. I’ve seen some great deals out there for very low hour JD’s for sale. Many with loader and mower combo. My neighbor has a 1025r and a 72″ deck and loader and loves it. Mine did came with rear wheel weights, but I also later bought a (non-JD) weight box. Every other brand will say the auto-connect drive over decks don’t work, is BS! love mine, If you’re buying new the dealer will help you set ‘everything’ up.

My Sons and FW bought mine for my 50th Birthday….I’m thrilled.
I go on-line, print about 4 copies, (for the boats, truck, and fly vest) This last year I unintentionally printed the Trout Stamp but no the Lifetime copy. My 2 brothers and one son and I got ‘carded’ fishing Lake Mille Lacs at the launch. The officer says,’ah, this is the trout stamp.’ :0 Then I said, ‘well I have my MN life time License.’ He looked it up on his computer in his truck, and said, ‘your good!’
I should be buying my Sons one!!! Wish I had when they were ‘little boys!”

Great dedication & persistence on the stubborn fish!
What kind of minnow you guys using? Shiners, Fatheads??
Also noticed you have your setups spread out quite a bit, and just wondering why? Again, great show. Thanks.

I’m glad to see at least one person mentioned KIMBER, and another the SIG.
My sister owns the SIG for the reason mentioned it is very easy to rack the slide, and shoots awesome.
For me it’s the KIMBER, based and the 1911 and has the nice thumb safety, and you can also get the Crimson Trace Laser grips which I’ll bet you & your wife will enjoy.
I bought the TCP Tarus when it first came out and is a nice littler shooter, with my big hand I’m not crazy for it! It’s ‘ok’ for her my wifes’ hand, and it’s much like the Ruger LCP. It does not have a safety, which I don’t like, because when we carry, ‘what good it is to not have a round in the chamber?’

They are repaired either mechanically(replacing the rivet having it “aluminum welded); or, Chemically. (epoxy or dare I say “Flex-Seal”)

Another option I don’t think has been mentioned, but that would be a ‘Hydrofoil Stabilizer Fin’ (aka, whale tail) for your size of motor.
