My husband and I had talked many times about making a trip from here to the gulf. Never got it done. He had a severe stroke that effected his memory. And since then has passed on. He was always so adventurous.

That is exactly how i have always fixed mine. And as you say. It’s so tender and moist. Yum Yum As good as any beefOctober 29, 2013 at 2:22 am #1202743When I first got married my husband was a commercial fisherman As Catholics at the time we couldn’t eat meat on Friday. We also had a small fish market and money was scarce at the time. So on Fridays we ate the eggs from catfish as well as the livers. Don’t remember how I fixed them anymore except I know I fried them. My husband was a picky eater. But he loved the way I fixed them. They came fresh from the catfish for us. Thought they were a delicate thing to eat.
September 11, 2013 at 6:14 am #1194254I have a mouse problem every fall. Eventually get rid of them. This year I’m going all around the outside of my house with black pepper and sprinkle the ground with it. Suppose to be an all natural ridance of mice. Worth a shot as far as I’m concerned. Suppose to work for other unwanted animals also.
September 9, 2013 at 4:01 am #1193768Yes Mike. I’ve had it and used it as a fish dip instead of tarter sauce. Very good stuff.
July 19, 2013 at 4:29 pm #1184514The news media really played a big part in this. They didn’t show the pictures of the kid with his tattoes or give out about the time he had served in jail for drugs etc. Not so innocent as many may think without the facts. I have a daughter and son in law who are investigators for the sherrifs office just across the street from the court house. This trial has caused them to have to work many overtime hours. So I get good info from the source.
July 14, 2013 at 3:22 am #1183275Isn’t nature wonderful. Gives so much entertainment. I had a doe and her twins come just within about 8ft from my house this AM. She stood there nursing one of them. Then the twins started jumping and racing around in play. Finally mama had enough and off they went back into the timber.
July 8, 2013 at 2:42 pm #1182135Don’t know what attracts them. But i have enough to share with everyone. Air is full of them. And one day as I was sitting on my deck I seen on a wire it was full of them sitting on it. Never before had I seen that. I have all kinds. They are harmless as far as I know.
July 2, 2013 at 2:40 am #1181276Had this happen to me a few years back. Had another gal with me on a Sunday. Had to load the boat back onto the trailer myself, take it home, back it into the garage, and then drive to a Hospital 16 miles from where I live. And then the Doctor on call had the nerve to say ” caught a sucker huh” When i got home I hooked onto the boat again and went back to fishing.
June 17, 2013 at 5:47 pm #1178307Shucks And here I thought you were going to report that Kari and Steve did it again.
But isn’t mother nature AWSOME
Had a doe and her twins out in the back yard this AM playing and jumping. A few years ago had gotten a picture of a doe nursing her one twin right out in the open in my back yard. An unusual sight.June 14, 2013 at 5:03 pm #1177881Mine flies high every day from early spring till late fall.
Proud to be an American
A big Thank You to all our Vets out there that we can do itJune 4, 2013 at 1:41 am #1175385Place in crock pot or slow cooker with enough water to cover. Stir in some beef bouline granuals and some shopped onions. Cook all day and then make a xof water and cornstartch for thickening to make a brown gravy after removing the meatballs. Careful not to get it too thick. So pour thickener for gravy slowly and stir at the same time.

A good shroom breading is to flour them, egg wash, then roll in saltine cracker crumbs. Tastes great!
add some onion and garlic powders and they are the best ever.
May 13, 2013 at 9:59 pm #1170569It’s either a carp or a buffalo. As for what my eyes are seeing it is a buffalo. When I commercial fished I sold them to a fish market. There was 2 different prices on them. And the buffalo we got more for per lb.
Carp are a gold color and buffalo a greenish blue gray.May 13, 2013 at 12:45 pm #1170419Both are very good eating. Just have to get all the fat and red flesh off the back side of them. I save only the loin of the sheephead. Have had people say that they could tell instantly if they were eating sheephead or walleye. I’ve tested them and they could not. When they ate the sheephead they swore they were eating walleye. All in a matter of taking proper care of them.
May 12, 2013 at 10:35 pm #1170317And I say why hide a nice looking face behind all that hair.
And if I want to kiss hair I’ll kiss the top of your head.May 10, 2013 at 11:54 am #1169841Stock market had gone to an all time high few days ago. Just watch the stock market and you will know when the prices are going to go up or down.
May 9, 2013 at 11:43 pm #1169740I like to take a lean boneless roast, put it in the crock pot with some water, red wine vinegar and a package of onion soup mix. Let it cook for about 6 to 8 hours and it just melts in your mouth. You can strain the broth if you don’t like the onions in your gravy. And I use cornstartch and water to make my gravy. A much healthier way of eating.
Red or yellow yukon potatoes are good for whipping.May 3, 2013 at 4:24 pm #1168066Hello Briank
