December 20, 2011 at 5:49 pm #1019545I called Cabelas last night to check on the status of my backordered LX-7. The email I received from them said it was due in 12/16 to 12/19. They told me that their computer was down and could not check but to call back. I will just have wait.
December 16, 2011 at 1:59 pm #1018257NICE! Now you should be able to fish wherever you want. Too bad by the looks of this winter you won’t be able to test them this year. Hope they are better than my Matt Tracks were on bare ice.
December 9, 2011 at 8:58 pm #1016360It will work great in your Troller. Youstill will need to get a small charger. Unless you have one already.
December 2, 2011 at 4:11 pm #1013915Bob just wondering if you heard this from the guy with two first names? Or if there are more dumping areas?

We are hitting the show Friday morning and then heading up to Mille Lacs to fish the big lake or a smaller lake nearby. Sounds like a pretty good day to me.
you will be the first ones and the only in line. It doesn’t open till 1:00.November 10, 2011 at 6:35 pm #1008089I need new boots but I have not figured out what size to buy. Do you order the same as your show size or?
November 10, 2011 at 6:24 pm #1008085You might be fishing alone a lot. Like it not. I don’t think any of summer unit made by whoever has interference rejection. Whoever you are fishing with using the ice units most likely will be able to fitter you from their unit but you won’t be able to anything about it.
November 10, 2011 at 6:17 pm #1008082A few years ago I got one from Menards for $125.00. Right now I on it 1 magnum Otter, 1 medium insulated canvas craft, 1 fish trap pro and heaters and all the rest of the stuff. It is maxed out I don’t dare put any more weight in it. I had to modify it a bit. I have 12; ceilings and I wanted the lift to go to the floor so I replaced the cable. No big deal. I also made an adapted so I can use a battery drill. Racor is the manufacture. I would not be afraid to buy more.

November 2, 2011 at 6:08 pm #1006066It is definitely an ice auger. The blade may feel sharp but if it doesn’t have the correct pitch it won’t cut. I had one and I could drill three holes through 12” of ice before an old Eskimo with a chipper blade. Once the blade got dull it was a lot of work. I liked the offset of the handles so it was like you were pushing and pulling at the same time. There was only one place in Minneapolis that you could get the blade sharpened. Great auger when it was sharp and pos when it was dull. NorMark Fin-Bore sold them and had someone that could sharpen them and they were down off 494.
July 14, 2011 at 4:22 pm #980789I have been looking for these for some time now and have not found out what happened to them. Like someone else has said they were available at Cabela’s. Let me know what you find.
May 2, 2011 at 12:12 am #962408I picked up the FXE STORMSUIT this weekend for a trip to Florda. I didn’t feel like driving up to Leech to get my Guidewear.

I believe it was the LED Tube, Flexible & Water Proof in White, 96cm. Or you could get two of the smaller ones and mount them to two separate ceiling poles.

No disrespect to Big Daddy, but I have been in several shacks with the Clam rope lights and they are pretty much mood lighting.
You won’t be disappointed by the brightness of the Best Hong Kong lights. I bought mine after reading about them from many other people on this and other fishing sites.
Here’s a thread from last month, someone even made a video of his lights in his shack. The video doesn’t really do it just on how bright they are, especially when reflecting of snow.
How are the BHK lights holding up for you. I put 2 sets in my Otter and one set has 25-30% burned out after 3 hours. The other set I only use when I need additional light.
February 9, 2009 at 12:57 am #746098It starts the weekend of the 20th. If you go next weekend you will be early.
December 8, 2008 at 7:35 pm #727122have you looked at easy bite adjustable bobbers? They seem to be ok so far. Depending on what you jigging you can adjust them from 1/200 oz to 1/2 oz.
August 15, 2005 at 5:55 pm #378338I had a chance this weekend to use FigRig rods up on Leech for Muskie. The guide I had them and I liked them. They were really light weight. They load up nice and casting was easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase them. They were every bit as good as some other higher priced rods. Didn’t help me any to catch a fish through.
March 23, 2005 at 10:57 pm #351896The one in Baxter MN is going to be a Gander Mountian. Just about across from Reeds.
