Not complaining what Cousins gets or got. Really don’t care.
Sorry should’ve been more specific I wasn’t meaning you. Was meaning the critics of the money he got.
Well he should only cost about $3.75 a game after bombing in Denver.
1.9 million for next year. I like the people complaining about Kirk’s comtract yet Cardinals are spending 28 million for Bradford and Glennon.
There was 30 inches of ice in Alexandria last weekend. Looks like after this weekend should go back into low 30s upper 20s. May be driving out in central Minnesota till pretty close to April.
Not really we made the playoffs last year so this year with a better bullpen that we should have and another average starting pitcher we should be in playoff contention so next year should be competing for it all.
When the Twins try and go for someone decent they do the low ball offer, and then say we tried our hardest to get them. So the fans think they really did try. If you didn’t want Darvish I understand but they did the exact same thing with Hunter. The only player the Pohlads have ever went big on is Mauer which they had to if they didn’t want an uproar. The Mauer signing was good i am not ripping it. Time will tell next year when we are very close to competing for a World Series and need a Ace pitcher if the Pohlads will open up their pocket books or if they will be cheap like usual.

Werm, the Twins will miss you desperately.
I’m sure they do, along with the million+ other fans that have chosen not to support these terrible owners the last few years. They said they needed the stadium to compete, but have done NOTHING to try and compete since the tax payers of Hennepin county built it for them. As soon as they openly admitted that their business model was built to stuff the Pohlad’s pockets (only spending 65% of revenue on on-the-field product, while the Pohlads collect huge salaries + surplus operating revenue) over providing a quality product I’ve been done with them and will continue to recommend everyone else do the same! If you want to post a link to Free Agents available by year, I’d be happy to point out where we missed the boat. But our payroll this year is approx. $109M ranking 22nd in MLB, about half of the Red Sox Payroll, and even the #16, 17, and 18 highest payrolls are about 10% higher (or one stud pitcher).

2X!
If the Wilf’s or Glen Taylor was the Twins owner/s we would have Yu Darvish on this team. Just saying.
Give Cousins 27-28 mill a year he has already showed interest in coming here. He is a way better player than Keenum. He is like a healthy Bradford with mobility and a little more upside!
I’m not a basketball fan. Where has Taylor spent money?
This year in getting big names to come here and resigning Wiggins. Upgrading Target Center.
I’m hopeful that the new General managers can turn it around. Going to give them a pass on last year after trading a decent pitcher we just had signed away for a prospect we will probably will never see, then we went to the playoffs when they thought we were done. Last year was still Terry Ryan’s team. Interested to see how they do in the next 2-4 years.

I can be a fan and disagree with the cheap owners. People have a right to be mad at them. They promised a competitive team with us building them a new stadium. They have not been competitive. To bad Glen Taylor or the Wilf’s aren’t the owner. Big Money would be spent if that were the case.Wondering about this, are you suggesting that Glen Taylor and the Timberwolves have been more competitive and successful in the last 10-15 years than the Twins?

Milwaukee has loyal knowledgeable fans also.Agree 100% bigpike!
No I am saying Glen Taylor cares more about the fans then the Pohlads do. And he’s not afraid to spend money.
Mauer I don’t have a problem with. If we wouldn’t have signed him people would’ve been PO. I’m just asking to get another good starter like Cobb, Lynn or Arrieta. Then sign another relief. Now toward your question you would have to keep Buxton,Rosario, Polanco. Dozier I would say wait and see what he does this year. Sano is a big question mark if he even plays this year with the sexual assault allegation. I would probably say get rid of Sano.
You should follow soccer then. Baseball is what it is, either enjoy it or don’t. People have been complaining about the Pohlads for ever. Pony up a billion plus dollars and lets see how you run the Twins. As fans all we can ask for is a competitive team, they have provided that with a few exceptions.

The problem with the Twins has never been the general mangers. It’s been our very cheap owners the Pohlads. They don’t spend any money and don’t care about winning. They said all that bs about the new stadium will lead to a competitive team. Well that didn’t happen at all. The only big contract they have gave someone was Mauer which they had to if they didn’t want riots. The Twins are more competitive than not and have won championships relatively recently. At least that’s what I see from afar
Im talking the last 10 years. Winning a championship 30 years ago is great but since then it’s been a mediocre baseball club. The last 10 years besides 2 or 3 have been horrendous.

They all passed, all this complaining for nothing apparently.
Very odd they win so often, but until they are caught or fail the poly they are innocent. This article will ensure they are watched like hawks the rest of their fishing lives.
Polygraphs are only 70-90% successful…..
Sorry BigWerm numbers dont lie.
He (Moss) was not deserving of a first ballot entry-IMO
If Moss would’ve had Steve Young and Joe Montana as his quarterbacks I guarantee he would’ve had close to the same numbers as Rice. I agree Rice is better though. And yes I know Moss had Brady for 4 years but that’s it, and a decent Culpepper for 1 year.
Is there still a lot of houses around Mantheys bay? Was up there the 27 weekend and there were quite a few.
He had been out of college for quite awhile when he pushed the female cop down the road in MPLS. with his car bumper.
But never mind.
Lets just agree that hes a thug and the Packers are the best team in the Tri-state area.
The Bears are only 1 super bowl behind you so there’s that. (1966, 1967 are World Championships for the Packers not Super Bowls.) Before all the Packers fans say this is untrue do research.
23 1/2 to 24 inches of ice in areas I have been. Truck traffic everywhere on the lake. Should be good to go.
I usually don’t bash the DNR but shame on them for being so spineless and allowing this name change.
What’s the big deal? They didn’t drain the lake so you can’t fish it. Just a little inconvenience because they changed the name?
This doesn’t have anything to do with the Native Americans. It is named after a US senator during the Civil war who was pro slavery. Calhoun said slavery was a good thing. So I don’t have any problem with the name change.
Trying to figure out how I can loop mille lacs into the conversation but can’t figure out a clever way so…. Netting on mille lacs
Just say to many Philadelphia fans came to Mille Lacs and kept over there limit of walleyes and “ruined” the lake. There you go ????!
