Here is something different for keeping all those jigging spoons from being tangled up, and just took some time to cut up the tubing. About $12 of tubing, already had the Tackle box, the jigging spoons fit into the tubes and the treble hooks sit on top. Might have to trim some of the tubes down so the lid closes better, another day. Now for sorting out some spoons. This would work for smaller boxes, might need to find a deeper box for the larger spoons I have.

March 23, 2011 at 10:19 pm #950134I use the flasher 1st, find what’s moving below, but then I like to see why, after marking fish, what else may be lurking down below affecting the bite.
October 16, 2010 at 12:23 am #904527I really like my Aiptek A-HD1080P.Have had it less than a year. Used it for different things, it does upload all the sounds around when when recording in camera though.
I bought mine at B&H,
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/592188-REG/Aiptek_A_HD_1080P_A_HD_1080P_High_Definition.htmlDid get a new battery, and a 16 gig card for the next ice season. Very happy with it. Easy to upload to youtube, and the vids, there is no lag for people to veiw from there.
The camera does the converting, you dont have to, that is the best part.
RandyAugust 11, 2010 at 1:07 am #892416I have the 820 B%W unit, last year’s model, does a good job.
Will the newer models have the a/v jack?
Does the new Vex camera have an a/v jack?
Curious.January 28, 2010 at 3:09 am #837234I am not really sure how long the battery will last, a larger 1 is also good to have if a person needs to do a lot of recording, I just use mine when opportunity happens, have not had the battery go down yet. But the Manufacturer does have their accessories also, to aquire from them if needed, for this camcorder. I have not tried out how long the battery supplied will last,……… yet
Here is the AIPTEK site,
hereJanuary 27, 2010 at 11:26 pm #837167This is what I used and where I purchased my camcorder, the A-HD+1080P. Only needed to get a HD SD card. Comes with cables, software for editing(havent used yet),charger, etc.
It has a a/v input you can connect to the jack on the back of the marcum, also you can a/v out to watch your captures on your reg tv or HDtv.
hereJanuary 27, 2010 at 1:13 am #836804IA DNR in Iowa wants weights attached to all submerged implanted structure I am told, in the video there are some ropes to be seen. Will keep some video’s comming.
January 27, 2010 at 12:20 am #836782I chose the VS820 B&W on the advise of a friend (Luke)here in Iowa, very happy with it. Last week (Wed)we had a warmup with 1/4 inch of rain, then 1/2 inch of freezing rain, then on Sunday I went out to Big Creek Lake afternoon and took this video cloudy skies, 2 inches of frozen ice crust over a brush pile.
December 30, 2009 at 1:21 am #827780Yep, I agree, no weeds around structure, no fish seen on a flasher or camera, time to move to another area. Wierd there were no baitfish, or a fish to be seen there that day. A lot of others were having the same no fish located thing happen to them there that day. Time to change a few habits on the ice there.
December 29, 2009 at 5:25 pm #827597Not much for fish being marked on flashers that day in that area, had to move to deeper water after dark. Was cool using the camera. Hope to have some fish on video this weekend.
December 29, 2009 at 4:03 am #827437The camcorder is a AIPTEK 1080P HD, fixed focus, with a cable for anolog input and also HDTV input and output, $120 from B&H photo video online. Easy to use so far.
December 18, 2009 at 2:49 pm #824418Lowrance Expidition C, the GPS works so much faster too. Call Lakemaster direct, order it from them, and it only took 3 days from the order call, to my door.
December 13, 2009 at 4:16 pm #822997I was wondering if a person was to dip the plastic in a scented solution such as gulp alive, would that doing damage the plastic?
December 3, 2009 at 3:15 am #820091Last December I used 2 1 lb bottles a night, heater and lantern, 3 times a week at least. 6 bottles @$3.50=$21, x4 weeks= $84, thats just one 4 week period. 12 weeks would have cost $252. Thats not counting being out during the daylight with heat. At the least, 3 months of on the ice, last year I decided to buy the 10 lb tank. Now this year, for 12 weeks of being on the ice it costs me about $35 for that whole time. The tank I use is easy to pull around in the portable shack.
December 1, 2009 at 11:07 pm #819661Last night I filled up the bathtub with cold water, thru in some 1/4 oz jigs, a 4 ft reel weed, put the Marcum camera head in the water, shut of the lights, then my wife opened the door and asked me “what the hellwaz I doin”?….
November 30, 2009 at 7:39 pm #819350The chain droppers are made by HALI, picked some at Scheels a 2 weeks ago. Some have Fas-snaps on both ends, and some with a hook on 1 end.I left the split rings on the
jigs just in case.November 29, 2009 at 6:44 pm #819092Here are a few Kastmasters, you can also change the hook out on the dropper chains on the right, insert a treble hook into minnow head, and attach it

October 27, 2009 at 11:33 pm #812051Knowing how crapiies are attracted to light, I want to try using the camera LED light, adjustable, suspended and after dusk, from a different ice hole at an agle, pointing towards the jig from another hole, to see how the fish react to jigs, and to record it. Learning lessons are good. Just an idea.
October 26, 2009 at 2:06 am #8115552 tone green kastmasters at dusk for white bass, after dusk a select few red or green glow jigging spoon with a minnow head. Silver swedish pimples after dusk/minnow head early ice.
October 26, 2009 at 1:40 am #811548Awesome video of some huge crappie, checked it out this morning after work at 4:am, had ice dreams after that, easy sleep.
October 25, 2009 at 9:20 pm #811504OK, what kind of a recording device was used? I did not have any luck trying to find a camcorder locally that had a video input. I did find on a site 4 made by AIPTEK that can record from a devic ethat has RCA output.
