Awesome I could see how casting those shorelines would be a blast. I want to try that early summer around the apostle islands. I bet that could catch some fish too.

On mille lacs about 10 ish years ago my dad and we’re ice trolling for perch in March and one hole as soon as you dropped your line near the bottom it wasn’t 5 seconds and u had a nice smallie on. It was a BLAST! Only one hole though. All the other holes some only 10 feet away or so nothing. So I will second what everyone else said about them grouping up tight and not biting unless u drop it right on them. But if u do the will bite. We coulda caught them all day I believe bug got tired of it after awhile.
Got our 2 man limit the other weekend. Was a blast. Not much better than smoked bees!
What are you using on the set lines? Fathead, sucker or shiner? Thanks.
All of the above.
Bite was good again this morning caught about a dozen including 3 more box fish. Smallest was 18” biggest was 24”.
Haha Andy I’ve always had this username on IDO but thanks it’s been a good season so far. Hawghunter the advantage to livescope over a traditional flasher is that u can see the fish when it’s 6, 8, 10 or more feet away so u can begin to trigger the bite sooner instead of just seeing the fish when it’s right there. This way I can start pulling the bait away sooner to perhaps trigger a bite. Maybe it doesn’t matter sometimes but it certainly can’t hurt. Plus it’s sweet to watch which way the fish is coming from to help figure out what their doing. And u can see fish coming in high in the water column which has happened. With my flasher I may have sometimes mistaken that for interference.
Got a few keepers mixed in too and some bonus tulipee. That livescope is the real deal if anyone is on the fence. 👌🏼

Either yesterday or this morning Mille Lacs pike, not sure where on the lake though…
I do but I can’t say 😎
Wife and found a bunch in 18-21’ on the edge of a rock reef last week. Couldn’t believe how many fish I was marking.
Hi great ML Smallmouth.
Please check out this opportunity to get a unique print of your trophy. Thanks for releasing.
Thanks for the heads up I did just that. The print looks great!
Maybe figure out a girth measurement off your photo. Go measure the space top to bottom on your bump board that the fish took up. Double that, add some for width.
Thanks for the heads up thats what I ended up doing.

Thanks for the heads up I just registered my fish and will be getting a print in the mail!
I love their show so far! They do a great job, its well edited and I feel its close if not on par with In Depth Outdoors already. Has anyone seen Fish Addictions TV? That show isnt even close to the before mentioned level. Some of there fish hacks I just want to roll my eyes and be like oh thats how u roll a pop up fishouse into its bag or try different jigging motions at times? Really? Those guys are really stretching it at times lol. I cant believe those jokers got a slot on FSN and FS Wisconsin but more power to them I guess.
I have both the precision noodle and precision in 32″ split grip cork and an admiral 38″ with 8″ full grip cork. I have all the bases covered with those 3 rods for north america fresh water fish.
Do any get caught in the silver Bay Area or is the water too deep in that area?
So do these marine radios run off your current antenna if you have a regular am/fm radio in your boat or do you need to install one with the unit?
I’d like to see a slow motion instant replay of the “Holst Hook Set” ….Arms over the head, one leg way up in the air, straight up vertical leap of 36 inches. Awesome stuff.
SR
LOL
Makes sense thanks guys. Mark you keep a boat on Mille Lacs then too?
Wow you guys are hardcore and I commend the ride out to IR. My question is why don’t you skip the long boat ride and even longer car ride up the whole north shore and fish more from Duluth over to the apostle islands and over to Ashland which has plenty of warmer shallow water? Or does IR have that much less pressure and thus larger fish on average? Or is it just that sense of adventure?
Thanks for the help fellas. Especially that chart Josh exactly what I needed!
The Ifish pro is for walleye, pike, lake trout. It never was and never will be for panfish. Its a tip up with a rod holder. Who uses tip ups for panfish? If you do your in the minority.
Ever since they reopened Mille Lacs to spearing the BIG pike are few and far between in my experiences. Night and Day difference.
Marcum’s are the worst by far for interference especially with each other. Vexilar is second worst and hummingbirds have hardly any interference whatsoever maybe just a little with another hummingbird together in a small house.
