Tool is quite useful in being the annoying dad.
I see what you did there- love it!!

Blow the boys off when I give them haircuts on the deck
Cool off the undercarriage up my shorts leg!!
Just remember-
Ounces make pounds. Pounds make pain!
When I first started going to the BW, I took way too much gear, fishing tackle especially. Whatever I want to take for tackle, I reduce it by half in the garage before we leave for the trip. Keep it simple- hooks, bobbers, sinkers, and a few cranks.
Something like this….
Looks just like you cut a pattern or two and paint over and over and over with preferred colors?
Really??? Nobody has mentioned this yet?? Ask that woman who painted those leggings on her, they did a fabulous job of it!!!
I always leave my balls hang out- my FW sometimes catches her shin on them…. And I always squirt the nuts with penetrating oil- usually prevents the nuts from seizing up!!
Years ago, I was out morel picking. I ducked under my neighbor’s electric fence to check some dead elm’s on his fenceline. Got over to the trees, bent down to check( forgot about the fence), and all of a sudden my entire body went into one big convulsion! I’ve been bit by fences before, but holy sh…….!!!!! This one was by far the worst one ever! Can one kill a chicken?? Imo- hell yeah it can!!!
Me too, me too!!!!! I went as a kid with my dad, but never as an adult. Always wanted to go again!!
Maybe food for whatever else is in the lake, and if some make it consider them a bonus????
My advice would be to start using a larger diameter thread, size D. If you have big fingers, or poor eyesight, it will help- trust me! I’m afflicted by both!!
I had a 13 Traverse with 175k on it before the tranny started to go. Shop told me $4200 for a rebuilt. Dealer gave me $4k in trade for it, dumped it almost immediately!! Now I have a 17 Acadia. I change my own oil. Every other change, I drain the tranny fluid (4 qts drains out), and re-fill. Easy drain plug to get at too, cheap insurance I guess, or at least I hope it is!!
Spending time on our land with my dad. He passed 11/1/07 on our land, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss him. Being there helps-
You gotta live while you’re alive
While laying on your death bed, you’ll never wish you had worked more overtime
Good God Randy….. I’ve been fishing Rainbow Falls ever since I was a kid with my dad. Every September we would fish the Kings as they were spawning. The Black River IS NOT JOKE!!!!! Prayers for sure have been sent!!
They’re like chewing on a big chunk of rubber if they get too old- I learned my lesson the hard way once, and only once!!!
Add a battery shut off switch.
In a permy site now, but traveled all over with my travel trailer. Put chems in both tanks and valves closed!! After I dumped both of my tanks prior to traveling home, I would always add 5 gals of water and chems to both black and gray tank. The sloshing in the black tank helps with clingons! I know some people that add a big bag of ice to the black tank prior to traveling too with good results also.
[quoteI might be able to recover from this but I don’t think my 401k ever will
[/quote]
I didn’t think mine would ever recover from my divorce 5 years ago- it did, and so will yours. My math tells me that at 29, you will have plenty of working years left to financially recover. Just be thankful for the fact that IF it was covid that you had, you made it through!!!
I owned a Smokercraft 178 Fazer for almost 20 years. I took that boat on countless trips to Lake Michigan, as well as Superior. Fished in rougher water than I care to admit a handful of times. Never once did I wish I was in a fiberglass boat. The transom and the floor was as solis as the day it was new. I have nothing but praises of my old boat, nor would I ever hesitate to buy another!!
On my 2002 crestliner at the end of the spray nozzle there sort of a cap that you twist to start the spray. You can turn it totally closed to shut off the spray. Maybe they had it closed off to use for storage. While the rear well is running try and twist the end of the spray nozzle
EXACTLY!!! I have an ‘07 1950 Sportfish, bought a few years ago, with a similar set-up in the bow. Rear livewell is under a bench seat- PITA to get at when fishing. First time I tried to fill the bow well up, same deal as you- scratched my head for a few days until a buddy at work told me to close the little valve on the rear spray bar. BINGO!!
I just got rid of my ‘13 Traverse….. First off- I towed a 1950 Sportfish with 200 Verado… Apples to oranges, I know- it had the tow package, no worries I thought- WRONG!!!! 150k, the tranny barely went forward . Traded in on Acadia. WILL NOT tow with it, as it is the same set-up as the Traverse. Change tranny fluid!!!! These models are prone to build-up in the torque converter, like every 30k miles if you tow. Personally- if I had to do again- I wouldn’t tow with it. $.02 worth……
Zip ties, tape measure, flagging tape, various hand tools, napkins, various otc meds, tire pressure gauge, jumper cables- my list is growing now!!!!!
I’m not a political feller- but a respecting one……
Makes me tear up every time- proud to say my family members grew up this way, wish I did as well…..
Or perhaps it was welded too cold, didn’t get enough penetration on the weld that broke.
Looks like a carbon steel weld that was quenched- made it brittle.
Good job Dad!!! Thank you for showing your girls what good CO’s are!!!
Penn Fathom Masters all the way!!! My dad bought his used 30 years ago- they still work like new!!! I have never been impressed with Cannon- the whole dang boat shakes when you let those suckers down….
I won’t tell you anything that hasn’t already been said- BUT… Falling in love is easy, it just comes naturally. Falling out of love is even easier, especially when the effort isn’t given from BOTH sides. Sure there are struggles we all face in a marriage, be it money, careers, kids, possibly addictions, the list is endless. The stress that comes from it then drives a wedge between our spouses and us, eventually to the point possibly of where you are at. Then, nobody talks, there isn’t any intimacy, and you turn into just being roommates doing your own thing, driving the wedge in even further…
You’ve made it this far- you owe it to each other to try to work this out, and get your happy marriage and life back. Your kids are all the more reason to try even harder!!! They need both parents in their lives- EVERY day!!! Communication is paramount- tell her you love her, tell her she looks nice in this outfit or how she fixed her hair, tell her that she made an excellent meal, COMMUNICATE!!! Help out more at home- you live there too, you helped to dirty those dishes- help clean them. You helped to dirty those clothes- help to wash them. I could go on and on about helping out, but my point is, is that it’s the little things that women need…
Sure- as men, we do allot. Mow the grass, shovel the driveway, etc. But remember that women do just as much as we do, probably more. Appreciate what your wife does for you and for your family.
I wish you the best of luck with your marriage and keeping your family together. Pull that wedge out- communicate….
