Some wheelers are out. I parked the truck on the ice last night out of ferry landing. Walked out a decent ways and set up on about 8 inches of ice. Another fellow had an ice castle and truck out, but very close to shore.

Oil change gone wrong. Last year I was changing my oil in the truck right when I got home from working outside on a 90 degree day. Being in a hurry, I failed to realize the oil filter seal from the old filter was stuck on there. About 4 quarts of oil spat into the driveway when I started it up. On top of that, the threads on oil pan felt like they got stripped out when I got done with my mess. Thankfully it was just the threads on the drain plug not the oil pan.

Freshwater Drum. I always get disappointed when I catch one.

Demo guy here. We were stuck with our half mask respirators up until the start of winter. We have the n95s back, but I get a much better seal and prefer my half mask over the n95s when it gets dusty.

Who do you do demo for

Went out at midnight, got about 15 eyes between three of us. Biggest was probably around 21” and only one under 15”

This is why I like bowhunting.
At the very least I would talk to him on your way out and let him know where your stand is.

I strongly suggest getting a bait feeder reel like the okuma avenger especially if you shore fish.

Catch a fish on every lure in the box. Would also like to hit that 40″ mark for pike.

You can park at lakeside park in Bayport and walk out from there.

Been there the last two nights out of bayport. Thinnest ice I found was 4 inches. People are walking across the river to the Wisconsin side

Try using some heavier flouro. I use 40lb and have yet to get bit off. I feel like ive had better success with flouro than steel leaders.

I usually get 3-4 moose trail cam pics in the spring/summer at my property north of hibbing. I’ve jumped a moose on on a small river up there while in a canoe. It’s amazing how fast they can move swampy marshes. I’ll post pictures in the trail cam thread later.

Well, did you drink it? I would have to.

No, looked like it was down there for a while.

You can also use a hard bow case. Its not ideal, but it will work.

How long do you make your fluoro leaders? I try to get around ten feet.
