Water temp was 52.

Fished from 6pm till 8pm got four 16 to 20 inch eyes and a few shorts. Water temp was 36.8 most fish caught on rigs 14 to 17 fow.

I got back last night. I hit isle bay on the way up early am with only some very small crappies checked lots of holes. The big fish just are not in yet. I stoped and checked a few perch spots ended up with a dozen very nice fish. I then headed north to a couple of smaller lakes in northern aitkin county. I caught some very nice crappies and a few bull gills. All the pannies i caught were in ten fow or less and only a few feet under the ice. Took the four wheeler out on the smaller lakes still good ice. It will not be long before only foot traffic with a plank or two will be able to get on the ice. I didnt have my camera wit and i dont know how to post i will figure out soon. I have some nice pics from a few weeks ago and the last fullmoon phase of walleye on the pond. Good luck and be safe this time of year a PFD never hurts to have on.

Going out in the am for some more crappies and maby a few perch. My brother just come in he said he was the only one out but the fish are biteing. Still good ice but it wont be long now and it will be foot traffic only. Good luck out there and be safe.
