I liked it better when you used to paint mental images of catfish over sausages. Good thing you didn’t put the dancing banana in your post or you might have gotten an email from the FCC
Al, I haven’t heard of granite being sealed with epoxy but most of the granite we install doesn’t need sealing. Try applying the ‘Lemon Drop Test’ to the granite you’re considering. Basically the lemon drop test is squeezing a lemon on the granite surface and if the drip of lemon juice beads up like rain on a freshly waxed vehicle then the granite is tight enough that it shouldn’t ever need sealing. If it flattens over beading then that piece of granite will need additional sealing. For my customers if the granite doesn’t pass the lemon drop test I encourage them to find a different stone.
As a kitchen and bath remodeler we install a lot of solid surface countertops. All have their advantages and disadvantages. If you’re in the metro there’s a place at 4400 Chicago Ave in Minneapolis called Minneapolis Granite. I send a lot of customers there (talk to Kurt or Joe) for their countertop needs. Outstanding customer service, competitively priced and don’t let the size of their yard fool you. From their location you can get almost any granite available in the metro. Just Google Minneapolis granite and you view their website with contact info.
More pixs as of this morning at 9:00am. This afternoon they closed lyndale accessing the landing. Looking to the north where US Salt is the river appears to be just a foot or so from going over that bank
Funny, the exact thought I had was only in a River Pro would I venture out this early. More power to them. Bragging rights to the first cat from open water are at stake.
