    Transducer is sold.

Open to offers on all other items, they’re just collecting dust on the shelf for now.

Thanks Tom! I’ve never had a single problem or complaint with this charger either!

I went to a 36v trolling motor last summer and had to add a single bank charger for the extra battery. Going to the 4-bank charger helps make it a lot easier when traveling to keep everything charged on only one outlet! I just hope someone who could use a really nice 3-bank charger finds this one!

So I finally had time to tear into the trim unit and found what I hoping least to find. I was hopeful that there was a valve or something that failed, but was quickly discouraged when I drained the fluid on the bench and found a significant amount of glitter in the fluid. Still I removed and checked all valves, filters and the pump, only to find more glitter and some slightly work springs in the check valves. Finally I removed the cap for the cylinder and found this severely worn ring and ridge in the upper third of the cylinder. Certainly explains why it stuck in the “up” position. I can’t explain why it’s worn like that, but my best guess would be that this is the position the motor rides at with the transom saver when trailering.

Sounds like it might be low on fluid, despite no visible leaks. Can you try topping it off with hydraulic fluid?

That was the first thing we checked when we got off the water and back to the hotel. With the motor full up there was a small trail of fluid that started running out when we removed the cap, so it should’ve been full, but we topped it off with some fresh fluid anyway, still no change in operation.

Found an extra spool for the Daiwa that will come with as well.

Would consider trading for a LakeMaster Wisconsin map card for IPilot

Verified information on card, this is Lake Insight Pro v14.

Covers entire lower 48 states, though I do not have a lake listing for it.  Tested and verified fully functioning in a unit at Gander.

Yes, you should be able to network them together and use one transducer. You shouldn’t need the networking hub if you are only connecting the two units to each other, with no other units or accessories. You will need 1 network cable adapter (Part# AS EC QDE) to connect the networking cable to the Helix. The networking cable’s standard end will screw right into the Ethernet port on the Solix, no adapter needed.

The other side of it is that the county parks department leaves the busiest and nicest launch in the county looking like this…

About a dozen trailers parked still at 9 tonight when we got off. No spray station. I sprayed off when I got home but I can guarantee many that used the launch did not. I know we had some nasty weather lately, but it’s time for someone from the parks department to come put a shovel to use for more than just leaning on!

My boat never has water in it in Wisconsin either…until I fished Saturday morning in that rain and about 40 gallons came rushing out when I pulled the plug! shock

And yes I said pulled the plug, because some of us here in WI actually try to follow the rules.

Some of the bigger launches, like Metro in GB have spray stations to hose the boat down after pulling out of the launch, which is REALLY nice to be able to do! With all the fees these launch sites charge you would think EVERY launch would be able to put in a spray station, since we know the money never gets put towards launch repairs roll

If you are only connecting the one unit to the TM and not using a multi-unit network, you can get away with simply using one networking cable.

If you are hooking up to a Helix or 11X9/9X9/8X9/7X8 you will also need a AS EC QDE adapter cable for your unit.

    Chris,

Interested. If I am correct this is the cable adaptor needed to go from a Universal Sonar (MKR-US2-11) cable to the back of my Helex 9?

If so – I would buy it. looking to link my Terrova up to the Helix 9.

Thanks for the tip but they don’t, looked there before posting.

I’m looking for one for the 800/900 series units, all that’s listed on eBay right now is for Helix units.

The big note to make on the current 1880 is the addition of the jump seats in the 2017 models. They added these, just like the ones on the Reata 1850’s, starting with late production 2016’s into the 2017 builds. Doesn’t change the hull but does change the “family” function of the boat between models.

I’m new to my 2016 1880 but love everything about it after the half dozen or so trips I’ve had it out on so far.

I haven’t had a chance to run it rough water yet so I can’t comment on the 3 footers ride. As for speed, the 150 hp Mercury 4S on mine pushes a load with 2 adults, 3 kids, normal fishing gear, and 3/4 tank of fuel at 47.3 mph GPS speed.

The only thing I have yet to master with it is the loading/unloading with the shallow launches we have around here in central Wisconsin.
