I am with you, I didn’t know I had to put myself in certain group being a “portable guy” or a “wheelhouse guy.” If you are a pig you are a pig, doesn’t matter what you are fishing in.

I own an A300 with thousands of rounds through it. Trap, duck blind, or a goose field. The thing has never failed me. Super easy to clean and recoil is light. I would purchase another one immediately if I ever lost this one. Even more so now that they have fancied up the finish on them.

Thanks for the feedback guys! Most bottom bouncing would be less then 2oz more like 1-1.5oz. As for casting it would be on the smaller size and even some trolling cranks for eyeballs. I know in a perfect world I would have a rod for each specific application, but I also would like to keep my wife lol

I have a Clam that is 18 years old with no hyfax, sled is still golden. That being said, I purchased a clam 20th Anniversary Voyager this year and put the kit on. When spending that much on a house why not put something on the sled that could potentially save it from damage. Just my thought! (Plus the package came with the runners)

x2 for the Engel bait cooler. That thing has saved us hundred on shiners in the early spring. Change the water 1x/day and you won’t have any issues. We don’t even use the bait well in the boat anymore after having one of those.

Also following this post. We are heading out this afternoon and fishing Thurs-Sunday for our first time trip out. We are staying at Lakeview lodge and will be mobile. Thinking about bringing my bikini with the temps the next few days haha. any info would be greatly appreciated. Irott I will try and check in with reports when up there to hopefully help you out before the weekend.

I don’t see why there is so much bickering over this topic. Trailer your boat, pull the plug, open the wells (put fish on ice for longer transport), take the weeds off the trailer, and homeward bound. Easy

I enjoy the new regs, gives guys the option who like eating the mid range bigger fish to keep one. After fishing on Winnie for most of my life and seeing the lake turn into a bigger fish fishery from the years of 17-26″ slot, it will be interesting to see how these regulations pay out.
