I was out there today from 7-9 am and the Northers were very aggressive. Fished the weed line from 12-15 feet. Caught them with river mix and raps. Other then being slimed a few times it was a lot of fun!

A boat is not an investment. Don’t look at it as if you are over paying. The only mistake it could be is if it sits in you’re driveway all summer. Go have a blast. You’ll be surprised how many new friends you get once you get a boat.
If you love to boat, fish or watersports, you will not regret having a boat that is available to use any time you want. It’s an instant vacation once you hit the water. Your heartbeat slows down a big smile pops out and you are king of the world!
The first 5 years after buying my boat I was out on the water 3-4 times each week. Made it worth it instantly for me.
There is another option. There is a boat club here in MN, that you can join that lets you take out their boats and no worries when it comes trailering the boat or getting gas. They prepare it for you.
Not sure where you reside.
Good luck on your decision.
March 14, 2021 at 3:15 pm #2022098I appreciate everyone trying to help out. Here is the situation. I’ve worked my self to the bone working 6-7 days a week trying to keep everyone as safe as possible during this Covid Pandemic.
I want to pay someone to do the work and do it right the first time. I will get so few chances to fish this year, that I want it nice and easy. If I was 15 years younger, I would install it. I was just hoping for a reference for a group that specializes in Lowrance installations in the metro.
As always thanks for your help. Just hoping to get a couple more options.
I’m not a very good walleye fisherman, but I hope to get better with my boat finally having the electronics to give me a fighting chance!
This group is awesome!
December 24, 2020 at 2:53 pm #2000292I went with the Prime Rib for tomorrow. Stopped in at Pittsburg Blue for a pint of the Au Jus!
September 29, 2020 at 4:44 pm #1976089The fishing will only get better as the water cools. I’d suggest pool 4….more guides and more options given all the water.
Might be tough to get a guide booked so I’d make plans ASAP. Marty Hahn is great but there are other good guides out of the Red Wing area.
Well put. I agree!
June 1, 2020 at 8:44 am #1946307Back to the blade bait set up always ready on your boat – What size is the preference to have tied on? I know you need to change based on current and wind, but what is the go to size?
December 3, 2019 at 3:35 pm #1895077So who has converted to be a fan of “Row the boat” this season that didn’t like it the last 2 years?
November 11, 2019 at 3:31 pm #1890342I’m sure PJ’s approach will be copied by other programs in the college ranks next year.
The real question is will this work in the NFL? My first thought is that it wouldn’t work due to the due to the ego’s and the money they make.
After considering the approach PJ takes where it will be 3-5 years before the methods pay off. So the real question is will an NFL owner commit to a rebuild that will take 3-5 years? Most of the owners wouldn’t commit to the lost revenue of a few bad years.
In order to get Cincy and Miami on track, the large contract buyout of PJ’s is affordable, his contract would be affordable as well as the other members of his staff. Overall payroll should be manageable. It could be a perfect match.
My 2 cents

October 10, 2019 at 3:13 pm #1883971So after a few changes on dates and Locations, we ended up on the St. Croix on Monday under the guidance of the Turk. We fished several spots and several different ways and found fish at all locations. Highlights were a couple big small mouth. Only one eye big enough to keep, but many 12-13 inch saugs and eyes. With the saugs being a little more aggressive the eyes. The high water made it nearly impossible to launch, but Turks figured it out. Bottom line is, it was a beautiful day and we all had a good time! Yes I will go out with the Turk again!
October 3, 2019 at 4:32 pm #1882574Really looking to hear personal experiences about the guide getting you on the Walleyes.
September 13, 2019 at 12:12 pm #1879004First off thanks for all the suggestions.
Hey Eelpoutguy – Oh I’m not messing with the tension of a garage door. I need a serviceman to come in and do the replacement. The door is worn out more then just fixing the rubber on the bottom. That’s why I’m hoping someone in the garage door business can help.
September 10, 2019 at 5:24 pm #1878475So I wanted to follow up on how this all ended up. My local auto mechanic was able to match up the bearing parts and put it together so I just had to slide it on, tighten it down and fill with grease. I noticed with it pulled apart that a small amount of grease did come through the back of the axle so I was able to put fresh grease in.
I did buy loaded calipers on line from Ameratrailparts.com and was very happy with the parts and the customer service they provided.
Finally I do agree with what you guys said as far as encouraging me to get in there and do it. As it was being reassembled it did make sense. It was weird on how many little and big bits of info that you all contributed to make it work! I really appreciate it. Hopefully at some point maybe we will even get a chance to fish together. Thank you to all who contributed!
September 6, 2019 at 12:42 pm #1877722I used those connectors and they were broken in less then 2 years. biggill described it exactly!
Please let us know what you find and how satisfied you are.
August 25, 2019 at 12:15 pm #1875522one more thing…….. The grease fitting appears to be part of the shaft. Is there a way to replace it?
August 25, 2019 at 12:09 pm #1875519Update – I have removed the hub, but I’m having trouble locating parts and a diagram or video on how to order the proper parts. I don’t really see any ware in the hub, but I do want to replace the bearings and other parts since I did damage the seals and a rubber washer.
What info do I need to get the proper bearing?

August 21, 2019 at 9:33 am #1874841Thanks for all the help. I’m a little concerned about redoing the bearings. Would I be able to buy the bearing complete, kind of like buying loaded calipers?
