March 22, 2013 at 11:23 pm #1155279Eric, Having the ducer hang just below the step wont be a problem? I fish Winnebago, and Bay De noc which can get pretty rough…It should be protected there pretty good huh?
November 16, 2012 at 3:04 am #1112601Was just there last weekend. my Wisconsin chip worked well If you can find one of those Bay De noc is on there. The water levels are down about 6 feet scary….Launch out of Gladstone as you needed waders to get out of Kipling.
June 12, 2012 at 9:58 pm #1075581Eric do you think if I bought a ethernet cable and eliminated the interlink it would help…the units both have the latest updates and my dealer is a real beauty so I will get no help from him. He still hasn’t called me about my terrova mount wi
hich I replaced a year ago. Need less to say my next Skeeter will be from SBC…..I will drive the 5 hour’s instead of 2 hour’s and no help and drive there 10 time’s….tyJune 12, 2012 at 9:15 pm #1075568nope didn’t work funny thing is the weather sense is picked up on one unit through the inter link but the interlink isn’t picked up
September 27, 2011 at 3:39 pm #997561Ty Dave, that was well explained and relieving… I dropped the mount and trolling motor of at The Boat Doc in Lomira and Josh believes that Minn Kota will warranty it. His concerns were all the hole and the fact that the plate with the hole in the center if turned the other way would have accounted for all six screws being installed and would have allowed for all the lift the motor would have received in reverse. But at this point I cant fish without it,,, Ty all for your help and input and my dealer or should I say they dealer that sold me the boat has still not gotten back to me…..LOSER……
September 26, 2011 at 12:24 pm #997260Ty Eric,
At this point in time Iam on my own. I have removed the brackets and gonna take them to a certified minn-kota dealer.
Have not heard back from my dealer and really don’t expect to as Ive had other problems that were never addressed. One of the problems were the trolling motor and how much it moved from day one and that i could not get the rod’s out to remove the motor. This is a 2009 wx1950 and not sure but my guess would be this is probley one of the first made..just my opinion based on a few of the thing’s that I have found wrong…One is the Motor is a 2008 (225)….Which I was never told about and why would I ever ask ( know better now) but with that said I am gonna see if minn-kota will warranty if not Ill mount the new one myself… Should have gone to SBC further drive but It would have been done right…September 15, 2011 at 11:52 pm #995155My problem I dont I don’t think is weather the puck is right Iam thinking the plate thats on the trolling motor is backwards because they could only get 3 screws in the motor if you look close to that pic you can see the plat would have matched all the holes in the motor if the thiner side was to the front…
September 15, 2011 at 9:33 am #994935My dealer claims The motor was mounted by Skeeter factory and he Didn’t mount it. Man I bought a new Boat because I didn’t want any issues and all Ive Had is Stupid little Problems and crap quality control Issues…..Maybe SBC can chime in and let me know how its suppose to be mounted. Looked at cabelas and the have pics of the mount with the big plastic piece mounted to the motor but the wide end of the mount is mounted to the back of the motor and the narrow side to the front so all the holes could line up.. What else is confusing is all the holes drilled in the motor some all the way through other’s not…some out of round and other’s alright. But skeeter and my dealer has yet to call me and Iam about a month away from the one year Warrenty……
September 7, 2011 at 10:04 am #993349put one full twist on each side of the trailer strap so the wind can not vibrate the strap (look at the flat bed semi trailers) pulled mine over 5000 miles and haven’t had one brake using this technique………
July 17, 2011 at 12:45 pm #981571yes your top would still be there this is just the floor under your rod holder where the battery’s and charger are.
July 16, 2011 at 3:24 pm #981443The Guy Drilled some vent holes through the lexan and if you have any issues you would atleast know sooner then later if you can do a visual easier then if you had to take all your stuff out first just to get the door out they old way.. They only diff between my boat is i dont have tube’s maybe lay some carpeting down first and then you could lift a corner or something up to see…I have almost 40 rod’s in my locker so it can be a pain in the rear to look under it every time…..
July 11, 2011 at 4:23 pm #979765put your big motor shifter in reverse to give it more drag(not running of course) if you have trim tilt on your kicker you can trim it up a bit you lose some of it’s punch. also quarter the waves or troll into them to slow your self down
June 14, 2011 at 12:10 am #973038I fish Lake Winnebago and Greenbay as well as the wolf and fox river system….Oh and Wabashkang ont Wx1950 bought in October of 2010
June 8, 2011 at 10:57 pm #971972Wade Congrats That is one sweet color scheme. I personally like the skeeters without the diffrent color s’s.. Might just have to use your scheme on my next one….
May 16, 2011 at 10:44 am #966242Stick a one by 4 just long enough for the window well and they will be able to walk up the plank..And watch out for cats they will kill them real quick…
May 15, 2011 at 10:21 am #966092Yes Sir I have a wx 1950 and Fish Bago in the rough stuff. All I can say is High and dry…… They are truely the best boat’s on the water….
May 11, 2011 at 9:58 pm #965356Love the boat. So I see they put a keel guard on the demo will that be standard or an option. Also Because It’s more of a medium lake or river boat does it draft less then the Wx boats? I will show this to my partner we need a river boat…His wife’s gonna kill me…..lol
May 6, 2011 at 12:33 am #963795Sweet Ride man love the color’s bet you don’t have any nails left after the wait…..lol

I know the Crestliners are notoriously wet, but it can’t be much worse than what I am running now.
I am getting tired of this cliche’… I have run an 1850 and now 1750 for many years. I run Green Bay many times a year Guiding, and am out there fishing in up to 3 footers w/o getting “wet”. You will get only as wet as you want to… Throttle down, keep your bow up and stay into or with the wind at the proper speed and you are fine. If the wind is howling and building 5-6 footers most alum boats are going to get wet.
They are not the Deep V of a Lund but for someone that fishes multi species and does a lot of casting and CPR work…the ample, low front deck is the cats meow. I would not trade mine for any comparable alum boat out there.
lol Id love a Skeeter but cant afford oneI did the same in big waves on winnebago 7miles per hour with the bow in the air many of time….If you went on plane you either got the crap kicked out of you or when you stick your head up over the winshield the water would hit you in the jibblets…Believe the warranty was 20 years to original owner and 10 transferable but you will ot have a problem with the hull they are solid…and you can buy a Skeeter it’s just money you can always make more
