bite the bullet and talk to Lonnie at Thorne. Will cost more up front but you wont be dissapointed. Plus theres always something about picking your own grips and flare.

Its by drawing again but we are trying to get more for 1st place.
March 5, 2012 at 3:01 am #1046056With a decent payout you would have no problem filling a tournament on Vermilion. There are plenty of people who are waiting for someone to step up and get a MN tournament series going again. The DNR has changed there rules on tournaments so getting a permit may not be easy for prime time on that body of water but you would have no problem getting 150 boats for that entry fee. Best of luck hope you can make it happen.
February 5, 2012 at 9:05 pm #1035667Do an internet search and bring the lowest price you find to a local store. i did this and saved myself $400 on my 1198. Still a ton of money but do not regret it one bit. amazing things you see on the maps that you do not with smaller screens.
February 2, 2012 at 1:15 am #1034457A 7′ rod will work but you would be much happier with a 8-9′ if you will be fishing all day. May be a little akward at first but your body will thank you.
October 14, 2011 at 1:55 pm #1001411Isles and Sens were there home opener so extra energy from players and fans.
Not drinkin the cool aid yet but have playoff hopes for this team.
June 2, 2010 at 7:16 am #876677Spent the last 3 days on the Lou, been moving fish but so far I have just been trying to get familiar with the river. Should have had a low 30″ but pulled out of the figure 8 too soon.
I really need to get some sun screen in the boat.
March 23, 2010 at 6:05 pm #856513I would highly recommend getting a guide your first day. First they can put you on fish and a big second is there is plenty to hit up there. you do have to be careful on the flowage. many rocks to hit expecially if they lower the lake level. give Tanner Wildes a pm on this site. from what I hear from friends he is a hell of a guy.
March 18, 2010 at 4:40 pm #854854Just look for the trucks lined up at the lester and french. Easy to see from the road.
March 18, 2010 at 4:37 pm #854853If you are just staying on Fall the campground should have day use permits for you to purchase. If you are heading to Basswood I would reserve a permit. I believe only a small portion of Fall lake is permit required.
March 18, 2010 at 3:57 pm #854836March 4, 2010 at 1:19 am #848821thanks guys, I think I will be buying the down easts. I would hate to lose that kind of cash because of looks.
February 5, 2010 at 7:04 am #839928I caught 10 fish in an hour and a half this morning all under 14″. Real light bite. I hear there are some pigs being caught though. My best spots have come away from the little cities out there.
February 2, 2010 at 12:36 am #838734Welcome,
The river has some areas with current so be careful of ice conditions. If you hit park point try areas away from the crowd. It is hit or miss down there but plenty to be caught.
Be sure to jig and a dead stick as they change what presentation they prefer often.January 29, 2010 at 2:30 am #837606Last I heard Gander was going private. Not sure if this happened yet or is still going to happen but like most retail stores these days they can not afford to have any carry over to next season so they are not stocking as many items.
July 25, 2009 at 11:00 pm #793104They need a dominant starter that can stop a losing streak. Giving Punto a $4 mil a year deal was dumb. And where is the $90 mil payroll they promised, looking at the team payroll they are playing like would be expected of the 7th lowest payroll team. Can only expect a bunch of no talent clowns to catch lightning in a bottle for so many years before they play to their expectations. Sorry to be negative but watching this is painful.

June 24, 2009 at 3:40 am #786195I had problems a while back aswell. Tried 3 different computers the first two were on HBC and had no luck. I then went to the cities and tried and it worked just fine. Not sure if it was the company or not but if you have HBC that could be the problem.
February 11, 2009 at 4:59 am #747059We are planning on fishing it. I hope its not all slush on the lake by then.
April 8, 2008 at 12:05 am #672405I hope Laperriere reserved a room at HCMC! Have a feeling he will be spending the night.
GO WILD!!!!!
December 27, 2007 at 3:11 am #636992Purple Mini Mert, went from nothing last year to on fire this year. I was outfishing a guy so bad one day he gave me ten $$ for one.
December 11, 2007 at 10:55 pm #632257I am going to revenge a loss from earlier in the year this week. Rivereyes lookout!!! All in all I would say it was a pretty competative year this year. no ten win teams and the teams that started out on a bad note didnt quit.
