Are you sure we were told by numerous electronics people and sales people over the last month that if I was running the card on the dash that my bow unit would have the same capabilities even though it didn’t have SI. So I will have to purchase a 2nd card then.
I have one Pm me about what your willing to pay. I believe I have a Shimano Sienna on this rod!
Fishing opener is always has been for as long as I can remember 2 weeks before Memorial weekend!
Ok here goes I have had Strikemaster and Jiffy the rib breaker. My problem is strikemaster and this auger, it’s new, the gas is fresh bought last Friday, didn’t want warm up and from get go in garage, had to let warm up for a full 2 minutes, then feather throttle, then it smoothed out.
Last Saturday went fishing drilled first 4 holes motor killed and according to to D-Rock and Strikemaster themselves you don’t have to choke to start if motor is warmed up.
Yesterday went to garage, primed and choked motor pulled the motor numerous times until it popped, turned choke off per instructions and pulled 6 more times before it started let warm up an had to ease into throttle or it bogs down.
The vent tube is in the top of the tank, when I carry this auger I hold it upright so not to gas into vent tube. Strikemaster tech said it doesn’t matter if you prime 2 or 50 times the gas goes through a bypass tube to the tank, they say to prime until you get prime button to feel firm or gas goes through the line, so I usually will 2-3 presses and it is hard. So I guess if it is me it because I have been following the directions from the owners manual and what the techs have told me to do plus trying other things. This auger is back at Strikemaster and they are going through it looking for vacuum leaks, blockages, restrictions etc. Sorry about Eskimo auger never had one just their houses and that lasted one year.
Well her I sit just returned Minnetonka, Strikemaster headquarters, they adjusted the carb and replace the chipper bit that you really had to lean to get it to cut.
No more than walked out of their shop carrying auger upright to my truck, didn’t choke or prime about 20-25 pull before it would start, arrived home no choke no prime same thing 20-25 pulls finally starts idles about 30 second kills, one pull runs 3 seconds kills I do this 3 more times same thing I am sick of this auger, I am sick of their customer service. Are these german motors and carbs crap or what, now there are 3 junk auger companys in no specific order Strikemaster, jiffy, eskimo.
I feel that the Minnesota DNR has a couple of flaws when it comes to game and fish management.
1) They cave to special interests in setting limits and regulations.
case being a lot of these special regulations are put in place to satisfy a small minority of anglers and residents on certain bodies of water. The 750 acre lake my parents retired on north of Park Rapids now has a 12 inch limit on LM Bass none over 12.This combined with the DNR removing almost all the crappies and sunfish and restocking the walleyes and having a 24-36 protected slot on Northerns has our lake messed up. I used to be able to go and between the wife and 2 kids and myselfand catch 30-200 sunfish in 3-4 hrs and keep 15-20 for a meal that were 7-8 inches with some 9-10 inchers released and I think we have 6 sunfish the last 2 yrs, word has it the DNR removed a lot of pannies when they stocked the walleyes.
I received and e-mail back from Strikemster and apparently the say that the fuel filter pickup is capable of moving around inside the tank causing fuel starvation you have to make sure the filter stays in the bottom of the tank and is not blocked by tank breather tube. Very poor design Strikemaster!
On this years model they finally got smart and remover the decompression button. I prime it until feel and see gas movement and button feels hard shut choke off at first pop and pull until running maybe 2 pulls maybe 15 pulls.

I don’t believe that the spawn has fully kicked in yet from what I saw of the fish last Saturday they still were almost full of eggs judging from all the females we saw brought into be weighed at the MTT tournament. If you are judging the spawn by lack of talk on pool 4 that is because there is another tournament this Saturday and the following weekend also.
You will know when the spawn hits because the weights in these tournaments will be real low not 30lbs on 4 fish.
When I stopped at the weigh in this afternoon I saw about 6 teams come in and one team had 3 fish for 29 and change.
And here I thought a chubby darter was one of the bigger girls from the Border lounge.
I would be able to go Friday the 21st if the seat is open, weather permitting, you never know about the month of march.
If Minnesota’s season were to open on the 1st weekend it would 11-2 and by law Minnesota can not open their firearm season before 11-3. That has always been the law, nothing has changed !
Just returned from the rally at the capitol. Turnout was I would say about 1500-2000 people,it featured some of Minnesotas strongest Reps and State Senators speaking about what needs to be done and this is just the begining.
We need to bend our Reps ear, we need to e-mail them, spend 5 minutes a day because if bug 5-10-20 times maybe we will stand a chance to turn some of these that are still on the fence.
Rep Cornish has introduced or will be introducing legislation that will allow teachers to carry, cuurently they have to have permission from Supt or Principal to carry on school grounds, another bill that is being intoduced would allow 21 yr old students at universitys to carry if they hace p2c class.
Saturday January 19th 12 noon-3pm Mn state capitol tell yor friends and relatives
Hey guys ammo manufacturing is running flat out 100% staffed balls to the walls, most american ammo manufacturers are backordered 300-500 million dollars and this went up since Sandyhook. We live in a very volatile market again there is going to be shortages of things near major metro areas. From what I have heard it is easier to find guns etc the further you get away from the twin cities.
Randy you can never have too much ammo when your pushing 50 and have aquired guns your whole life, belong to a gun club, shoot every other week and work for an ammo manufacturer you may have a little ammo for your hobbys.
Just bought 500 9mm. Have 1000 40s plus all my trap loads and waterfowl loads and my loads for pheasant hunting.I plan on buying more every week until my annual allowance is used up.
Thanks for the clarification Jr. Something just didnt seem quite right with your dads description. That is one cut that with all the years that I have fished the river I can honestly never gone through. I have gone through the 1st,3rd,4th 5th, etc and many of them off the back channel like funks cut etc, my grandfather lived in Red Wing his whole adult life and fished 4-5 days a week and I spent alot of time fishin with him and my dad grwoing up. Now I spend as much time as I can down on the river as possible.
Hey Redneck 1st cut below highbridge goes into lower mud lake.2nd cut below high bridge splits and either goes to old mud lake to the left or to the right you go dead slough lake and putman dam.3rd is slightly above Colvile park. Can you clarify you are saying off main channel in Redwing High bridge or did you mean the back channel bridge and the 1st cut to the right.
I would like to see SMOKE finally get the crowning jewel of NASCAR. But if he doesnt I would love see the 88 of Dale Jr win it again, the way junior ran last season watch ou he will have an awesome year and make a serious run at the championship. If junior doesnt win let it another Bow tie.
Personally I am cheering for DANICA to do well and possibly even win. I believe she will have a very good long career in Nationwide and in Cup.
Go Danica.
PS She chose the right team owner to go with.
This is awesome news maybe the baitshop will be open next time I am down there.
Hatch99 nice meeting you and spending an afternoon on the river with you. Weather wise you could not have aked for better weather, maybe next time the fish will co-operate.
If you still have an open seat for Friday, Sunday or Monday I would be available to fill one of those days. I could help with gas bait or ramp fees.PM sent
