How does this line compare to flouro when it comes to line stretch? Less or more?

Just sent in my Lx5i in for a warranty repair and they replace it with the m5 component.

Wait a minute! I was told by someone at marcum that the internals were different so upgrading was not an option. What gives?

From my experience, the lazer does bind right before breakthrough. I also have a mora blue and it does not bind. I have it attached to a m18 fuel/clam plate.

Looks like I have some more research to do. Might just wait until the Ice Expo and see what I think of all of them when I can compare them all side by side.

As for the people who had mentioned the rods getting snagged in the fabric of the tubes, do you think using rod slicks would help solve the issue? I have rod slicks on all of my rods already and plan on still using them just because it keeps them from getting tangled up in my case that I have now.

Thanks for all the input already voiced!!
On my transporter bag i took off the felt and went around the edges of the tube with black electrical tape and that solved all the snagging problem. When im done on the ice i always snip off the jigs anyways to avoid any other problems. Last season one of the smaller side pockets now has a hole in it as mentioned by the op. The bag will hold a ton of gear, i even got my lx5 to fit in there.

Would be nice if that was possible, everything looks the same but the internals…? If the price is right i wouldnt mind doing the upgrade.

Plano 42″ AW padded gun case is a better alternative to the otter. The striker transporter has its advantages.

Panoptix for ice fishing. Why hasnt garmin taken advantage of this and market it to ice fishermans? Ive seen demos on youtube and am blown away by it. This would take the guessing game out in which direction the fish are.

Raise or lower the transducer, use reg or narrow beam and adjust the i.r on one unit only.

Have not had any issues yet on my lx5i. Fished outside all morning in blowing, cold, snowy conditions and have had no fogging issues.

What pound test was the flouro? I wouldnt even touch flouro on that small 500 spool. On the 500 i recommend not going over 4 lb test.
