Back channel entrance is blocked off with parking lot dry but flooded ramp area. Cohville still blocked off entrance area. Bay point entrance blocked off parking lot is dry. All of them doesn’t appeared to be needing major cleanup
Maybe with this weekends MN deer season opener, the river will thin out. The funny thing is a person doesn’t have to pile into the dam area to catch fish. Plenty of fish below there including the Y. 🤭🤭🤭🤭😎
Hours on water, attention to detail like water levels, flows, wind direction, water temp, guides, own log books, bait shops, oh….and most important is hours on the water. Good luck!!
Great question Tim. I would be interested as well as I’m thinking of upgrading my lowrance HDS 12 touch g2 as I think the SI detail is nothing compared to HB.
So…..what happens then? Do the fish hold until conditions are met or do they just give up. I heard somewhere the females will just absorb the eggs and move back into the lake? Does it mean you fish them differently? Just curious
So what I’m hearing is the maps are useless and risk is high. I know common sense comes into play but the risk is high. I think I will assure to wear life vest and go slow. Thanks everyone
Just a heads up. I have scuba dived most of these pristine lakes and I gave up collecting all the lures on the submerged trees. There is big fish in these lakes and there is a lot of food for them to eat Very deep lakes with lots of debris. Have fun
Next question to all: Do you need a special registration for my boat which is “current”licensed in MN? Also just a non resident fishing license is the only thing needed to fish in WI? Thanks to all!!! Going to the Oconto to fish in 2 weeks !!!
Does anyone have any recommendations for overnight stay a couple of nights this March or April in Oconto? Looking for respectable place (clean, boat security etc) during the stay that won’t break the bank. Any feedback would be great to shorten the learning curve. Thanks
