So…what do you have against “blue” fenders???

In my opinion, Some rod manufacturers have been overly generous with their warranty programs in the past. Replacing a rod due to negligence, not defective materials or workmanship, is one reason rod prices have risen to current levels.
I bought a metal detector while working in Virginia back in 1997 & 1998. Watched Civil War relic hunters flock into new work sites and decided to give it a try myself. Found some neat stuff! My mother lost a ring a few years back while doing yard work. I eventually found her ring…in one of her plastic bags full of leaves.
what’s the problem with 90 yards of 80# Power Pro? What are you planning on using it for?
Who takes a fish picture with their face covered up? Witness protection program???
Smalls, I agree whole heartedly. If you routinely clamp your thumb on the outside, it will eventually cost you a trip to the doctor and stitches. Don’t ask how I know…
My sincere condolences on your loss.
BTW, my M-I-L gave one to me also…
Not to steal your thread, but…is that ramp named after William Colvill, who lead the 1st Minnesotans on a suicidal charge at Gettysburg on July 2nd???
On Saturday, Feb 14th at 6:20 AM, had a nice 10-point up in my backyard. That same day at 5:50 PM he was back…with only his right side antler remaining. After 20-minutes of looking the next morning, I found his left side antler about 20-feet from a bed, adjacent to a small bush that had rub marks on it.
On Feb 18th I again saw the same buck sporting one antler. On Feb 22nd he was up in my backyard with both antlers missing. I looked yesterday for about 1-1/2 hours with no luck, but may try again today. I have a picture of this buck from about a month ago, so it would be nice to have his complete set.
My dog woke me up at 2:30 AM a couple days ago. A few seconds later I learned why. A coyote howling in the back yard!
So…did you ask the IRS rep who you should send the bill to for your time and your accountants time???
I own a 1989 680T. By “bowed floor”, do you mean the center of the floor is slightly depressed from the sides of the floor? If so, mine is similar and I believe they were manufactured like this to promote drainage. The console is made of pretty thin fiberglass. I think an accidental kick could crack it and don’t think that is a major deal. The rail & fiberglass damage is your call, but doesn’t sound significant to me. Rats nest sounds familiar…that’s exactly what mine looks like! I direct wired two sonar units to the battery, which added wires to the already installed system. If the price is right, I think you’ll do okay with this boat.
I used the recommended 303 product to seal my Sunbrella boat cover a couple years ago with good results. I paid way more to have this custom cover made than any boat cover previously. I thought it was worth using the products they suggested to protect my investment.
Mike, I think a great use for those small fish would be to feed the raptors at the various sanctuaries around the Midwest. We donate fish scraps from cleaning panfish, but I bet they would love to get those smaller whole fish.
Congratulations, Len! Can’t wait till mine arrives in the mail. I’m sure the photos will be fantastic.
Brian, not to make you feel any worse than you already do, but…we had one of those!!! Next to a Daisy Red Rider BB gun, it was the greatest gift ever. Thanks for bringing back some very fond memories.
Was the “cool sound” a “whistling” noise? They may have been goldeneye, commonly known as “whistlers”. I used to see them on a river in southern Wisconsin every December.
I agree with Mark. That is disgusting and I could not watch it to completion.
Yes, John Gillespie fishes with Brian several times each year. Not sure if he’s done an ice fishing show with him, but he seems to do very well on soft water. He does a lot of jigging for trout & salmon. I think you would enjoy a trip with Brian.
Never actually caught, but had one hooked for quite some time. Fishing a jig & reaper for muskie, I had just released a 36″ fish on the previous cast. Next cast I felt something “different” and set the hook. Up came a loon hooked in the butt. Chased him around for 20-minutes, trying to get close enough to net him and get the hook out. Every time we got within 20-feet of him he would dive under water. I eventually tired out and gave the rod to a partner who promptly broke him off. Not an experience I ever want to repeat. I have had loons follow in quick strike rigged suckers many times.
Ditto on the Weber. Bought a Silver Genesis B for $450 in 2000. Still going strong. Ignitor died, but I just light with a butane starter now. Replaced the flavorizer bars and upgraded to a cast iron grate and love it. Needs a good cleaning, but still works great.
“The extra fast tip will give the fish a little extra time to get the bait good prior to pulling the lure away from it.”
I don’t understand your thinking on this…wouldn’t a “moderate” action accomplish this, NOT an extra fast???
Regarding three fawns, I have read that the most common birth with healty deer is twin fawns. In the same article it stated that triplets are actually more common than single births. Over the past ten years, we have witnessed triplets probably every 2nd or 3rd year or so.
