    Thanks Guys

thanks guys for responding back. As for the areas that I was thinking about trying was the Boy Scout Res. or the zumbro river strentch between Hy-vee North and Silver Lake dueto that its looking like a good chance of rain coming. Thanks again guys and i give a report if we go. Happy fishing and peace out

Dan, Its good to see ya over here at IDA. I believe that your forgetting to warn everyone on IDA about the other awesome fisherman in ya family ,Alex, he’s a great kid and an old chip off the fishing block. Are we still gonna take that float down the Zumbro? Brandon says hi Take it ez Glad to see ya on Ida again

    Well Guys,

I tried The CC pits, gamehaven and Willow Creek and a private pond friday through sunday. The ice seems to be around 7-10 inches, depending the usual variables the current and yes even snow cover plus sun exposure etc. My take is that the fishing sure has slowed down in the past week or so.But the fish are still there to be had. I had the best luck in about 10- 12 feet of water. A jig laced waxies seemed to be the ticket for me.The fish were hanging just right of the bottom. The CC pits and Gamehaven was the slowest for us. Willow got fish but the pond was where i caught plenty and enuff to have a fish fry. I had the honor of being the first one to drill hole in the pond. In all the weekend of fishing was a very good and fun time, Except that my 2 year old daughter caught the biggest fish of the weekend and broke one of my rods all in five minutes. oh well the good definitely out weighed the bad. I had a great time with the kiddos and being outdoors. Brian K sorry to let you down but I am afraid to tell you that we went cat less. Take it ez everyone and happy fishing

I would to say thanx to everyone for the warm and welcoming reception to IDA. Seems like we have a few characters on here. Yes us esox folk are different, but I’ll blame that mainly on the so called “Musky Fever” . Gary , I mainily hit French Lake in fairbo early season then i head north to Cass, Leech, Mille Lacs, the “big V ” and do some canoeing along the zumbro where I Know some ski’s hang out. Plus I love Tonka, Independence and afew in the metro area
Thanx again everyone. Take it Ez
