I am also going to be there (pool 4) tuesday. We have been on pool 2 lately and it has been slow. Marking about lot in 16 fow on the edge of spawning areas but they are tight lipped. Hoping we will get warmer water down in pool 4. I am in a black and white alumacraft 185 with a Suzuki 140. If you see me stop and see what’s up!

I marked a lot of big fish sitting just outside of the shallow spawning grounds. They were all in 14-16 fow. Water was only 39-40 degrees so it looks like they are staging waiting for a few more degrees to move up.

I have the Gen 3 hds 12 touch and love it. I like the extra buttons because it makes it faster to use but I find I use a combination of both the touch and buttons and it is much easier than one or the other. The chirp is nice. You have (at the touch of the screen 200,83,50hz,high,medium,and low chirp) I find that I switch back and forth depending on where and what I am fishing but the chirp is deffinently clearer! Also having buttons for when it is cold and I have gloves on is awesome. It is all first world problems anyway. You can’t go wrong with any 12″screen. You can 4 way split it and still see everything well.

They are good to eat but you have to get all the red meat off the back of the fillet. They taste better out of the St Crois than the missippi, or at least until you get past Hastings. Also are good smoked!
