I had the same symptoms with a 2001 johnson 50 horse 2 stroke it turned out to be the fuel pump. The mechanic said the 40 and 50 horse were known for this. The part cost 300 dollars and its possible to put on yourself.
Had some muskie action on the North Fork above Park Falls and the Pixley Flowage the last weekend of June. No hook ups some follows and hits biggest fish was around 40 most were low 30’s. Best luck was on surface baits good luck

The roller trailer sounds like something I’ll be needing. The pro v has a bunk trailer but at 30k with with a 70lb trolling motor, lowrance x-27 and smartcraft gauges it had me thinking.
Sounds like I’ll have about 4 to 6 weeks to bow hunt till that new boat comes then its fishing time.
