Hey guys, i am also interested in having a walleye replica made from the 30.5″ walleye i caught and released on mille lacs this winter. I am having a very hard time deciding where to bring it. I am very particular with details and im sure most of these guys will do great work but i have a couple questions/comments. I had narrowed down to 3 places, Tom’s Taxidermy in clarks grove mn who i have had work done prior, artistic anglers from many recommendations and like their work in photos i have seen and fibertech from many replies on here. Questions:
1. i see prices ranging from 16-21$ per inch, is there that much different in quality of work going from those extreme differences? (this price range covers those three places i listed)
2. my biggest concern/like about fibertech is the turnaround. Really like the quick turn but it really makes me nervous on detail. Is this turn time mostly because of work load at the different places? i guess i just dont want to get a cookie cutter replica that looks the same as all the rest and want the detail of my fish.
3. i really dont want to be told 10-12 months and have to wait 2.5 years for it either like a couple comments i have read on here, Is this common?
