Maybe I’m just getting old but I remember when you could take kids to pro games football, baseball etc. and not have to worry about drunks language, behavior and the kind. It seems now many young and old (mostly young) try to see how plastered they can get before and during the game. It’s just another event to get drunk and no real apprecation of the game. It’s a new era I know, players come an go and make lots of $ and the common fan cannot relate any more. In some odd way I think that’s part of it……………

Fishon333 what a great attitude, I know some meat hogs that are at the dam pre dawn to scarf up the easy pickens than bragg the rest of the day “how many you got had our limit since 9:00” and they do Jack Crap the rest of the day. They are there most of the November and every weekend. Makes one wonder about the home possesion limit. I don’t wonder I know there over. Taking home a limit everytime out is not necessary to have a great trip. Nice report…………Good fishing.

Easy now I am probably one of those idiots you are talking about. I am retired now and trying to learn this new game. I observe and learn sometimes close, apparently to close. One thing I observed recently was some good ole poaching. Two guys in a boat that I have seen doing quite well before pulling in some nice 17″-20″+ saugers with a few eyes sprinkled in. I kept count, I cannot prove it nor do I want to, they kept 17 fish. No fish released at the boat ramp they kept them all. Legal limit for two fishermen one boat I know is a mixed bag of 12. Correct? You know who you are and so do others I asked, they were not surprised. I might be an idiot but I can read BOAT NUMBERS quite well. I am sure glad they close the dam off Dec 1st….Good Fishing

Yee-Haa!!! Northstar thanks a ton for letn us know about this spot, I’ve gotta an army to bring up there, looks like and sound like a great place to jet ski too. We’ve got this club of shallow river runners and smallmouthers (love to catch em and they cook up well too.) I guarantee you’ll see some souls up before winter hits and definitley all next spring and summer. Thanks a ton again!!!!!!!!!!!

You just have to hope common sense is applied. But it does make one wonder when you see 19+inchers stuffed into the livewells by people who are there everyday and i mean EVERYDAY!! If i’m not out I see them at the boat ramp,it sometimes seems to be an ego thing. Not impressed…….

Excellent report, good timing for me I have six boats full of friends from the Chicago area coming to stay this week at my river cabin. Usually a tough bite for them they allways want to go to the dam(sheephead). Anchoring on wing dams especially near Camanche will be alot of easier and save alot of gas. Maybe this year will have that fish fry? WE don’t know much but we are learning. What a great site. Thanks for the info Speed Trolling.
