Well I didn’t get to go as there was no Ice… I am re scheduled to go in feb so lets hope the ice isn’t melted by then…

Just hoping for enough ice by December 17th for my 3 day sleeper trip to LOTW

I have a “few” combos, I have the white out medium and absolutely love it pretty sensitive tip and strong back bone for cranking that hook set! Also lower profile so it feels much nicer cradled between the thumb and index finger. I paid just a little over $50 at scheels for it.I also have the Abu Garcia combo white with black eyelets almost looks like a full rod just shrunk down bouncy tip and can really crank on this thing back bone is great. The last two are a flurry slim profile great reel and very nice rod can see the tip go berserker when you have a finicky fish. Also I bought the trick stick walleye combo from northland tackle.. Reel isn’t horrible but the rod is great! If your looking for a tip like a spring bobber it’s going to be hard to find in a a combo might have to suck it up and buy separate But check them out its all on what works for you! Happy fishing!

Well one of my buddies has never ice fished so hopefully he has fun so I can have a new fishing buddy, won’t be in the lodge be a sleeper house, won the trip at a ducks unlimited banquet so didn’t have a choice of resorts, if it goes well it will be a yearly trip so hoping to bag some pigs and have a days full of eaters!

I appreciate the input!! And will definitely stop to pick up some gold. Any thoughts on sportsmans or things to do in down time out on the ice? Also I have braided line and mono for line any luck with either? I haven’t had luck with floro in the spring summer so hesitant to use it in ice any ideas?
