One of my favorites to use in deeper water while fishing for crappie. I pound the heck out of them and keep a close eye on the Vexilar….and hold on when it turns solid red!!

took the boy out to Lake Redstone for a quick outing. Had some luck with the Crappie. Thanks!

Thanks! Where at on Redstone does one go to access the lake? Is it public or do I need any type of park sticker?

I’ve been missing them as well! I have snuck up there for 2 outings already this year…..but it’s been since the 23 of Dec (day of the fall) since I’ve been on ANY ice for fishing.

I wasn’t paying attention/didn’t notice ice on the walk. I went down very quickly…..tried to get up very fast so nobody could see me and maybe laugh.
But I knew right away the knee wasn’t right. We’ve got a very good family friend that is a retired attorny. Spoke w/ him last night….and the best advice he gave me is if their insurance company contacts me during their investigation wanting a statement from me…….DON’T give them one w/o a lawyer present. That is good to know. Otherwise there are 3 ways to let it play out….and that is what I’ll do. Again, I’m not suing anyone!

I’m not looking for a lawsuit, nor did I suggest one!
Assuming the same sidewalk that runs NEXT to the store (the side I parked on) that has 4 stalls for parking of automobiles in front of it (by the way) that CONNECTS at a 90* angle (basically the same sidewalk) to the walk that is in front of the store…..yes, I do believe w/ the parking stalls and the simple fact there is a sidewalk seems simple enough to me that pedestrian traffic is to be expected!
Ummmm….IF I had noticed the ice…..yes, I’m sure I would have expected it to be slippery!
Calm down! I’m not taking this place to court to own part of the business. They have insurance…..it’s called liability insurance…..if you are a home owner, you have it too. If someone gets hurt on your property, you’d have it covered. Same for them. I’m looking out for myself! If the worker cared enough to salt the front walk-way but was too lazy to salt the same sidewalk on the side of the building……yes, they can use their insurance to pay for my torn up knee!
Next time I ask for advice, bug off! If I ever ask for an opinion, by all means, jump in and sound off!
January 4, 2011 at 11:22 pm #922616ANY ice dam scares the crap out of me! 2 years ago, we got them. I did the salt in the panty-hose trick, dumped salt on top of the dams…..chipped it away.
Anyhow, long story short…..we had around $15,000 in total damages!!! a section of our kitchen ceiling came down. An absolute mess. We had water coming down the inside of our wall like mentioned above…and then it worked it’s way back and started dripping onto the ceiling….had a light fixture fill up w/ water. IT WAS BAD!
I have pictures of it, if you want to see them! Thank God for insurance!!!
I had nasty looking dams show up again this winter….and I just paid an outfit $150 to get up and shovel off ALL of my roofs and w/ the shot of warm weather we had…..the dams went away w/ no problems.
DON’T MESS AROUND W/ THESE THINGS AND HOPE FOR THE BEST…..YOU’LL GET HIT BY THEM BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!
