You have a good point on fuel . I also notice the corporation has a free 3 year service this year . It is beging to sound like a darn good motor for me .
Any one out there have something to say about the compition for this size motor .
    Merk , Johnson ,Suzk, 4 stroke ?????????????????????????
Or anyone have anything to say about the Service experence
    with the Yamaha corp.??

make sure the vent is open on tank , look for pinched gas lines or partally pinched under the hood , this will allow the float to fill slowly and when float is empty the motor is done , untill it filles again . or the sea foam could have loosend a small dirt particle and is cloging the small gas holes on the connector fitting

Iam running a 40 seahorse mid 1980ies The sticker on the side of the motor recomened to run 100/1 mixture . I questioned this as many who have bought used motors .
2 out or the 3 dealers I have ask recomened

    to run at 50 /1
reason being the extra oil wont gum up the motor
    and will add protection
also there was a problem with some of the early 100/1 which would not leave enough oil in the motor between prolonged periods which lead to scoring of the pistions when started .
I have been running 50/1 ever sence and had no trouble .also a can of seafoam in the spring wont hurt any thing , it is the one shot that helps all .

good fishing and may your hook always have a fish on it

boy could I use some walleye instruction , Found this site by accident a few months ago , it has gotten me to relize what a great fishery we have close to home .
Been on the St Croix 6-7 times trying to find walleyes . not much in finding them , but still trying . tom

In the area you fished is there a launch site that you would recomend over others ? I am hooked on the river after joining this site .Tryed a number of spots that have been recomened ,but only had a good time with fare to poor results for fish .
Any suggestions as to improve my record in finding the walleyes ?
Is this the time of year that is refered to the Fall Bite ? or will it get better as the fall goes on ?
    Thanks

I was out south of kinni last night, fished from 4-8 , small sauger , 2 nice eyes , they only hit when the moon first appeard on the horizon . 8 feet of water ? lindy rig and orange jig produced results .
