    It really does seem like a super underutilized fishery. The smallies and kitties are what im excited about!

    Assuming the pope & talbot dam is the one that forms Dells Pond? If so I will be primarily downstream from there. I live relatively close to the wastewater treatment plant landing.

    Never heard of catching doggies through the ice. Sounds like a hell of a fight on some ice tackle!! peace

    Usually a bass guy but all my South Dakota buddies swear by the Walleye. Caved in and ended up sticking this hog right out the gate. First open water eye of 2017 for me!

    As far as I know pool 2 is the only place where you can legally target bass this early…

    Many good shore fishing opportunities for metro carp/any roughfish you can think of in Pool 2 and the Minnesota. Anybody know when the carp will start biting? Usually wait till about April but with these temps…

    7-11 inches of snow broadcasted for this weekend shock … will this drastically affect ice conditions that much or is the safe ice basically here for the season?

    The bluegill and perch bite all day long my man! Otherwise these guys nailed it, sunset and sunrise.

    About 3 inches on Crystal today. Drilled a few holes and managed to catch a couple perch. Nothing big but it felt good to get out there!

    Went out and scouted a few small south metro lakes today, most ice I found was about 2.5 inches. Hopefully this snow holds up and we get some real ice to form soon!
