I for one can’t wait walleye opener and all you “out of towners” leave the river too those who fish it all year because it’s our home water.

Good bad ugly we each have our own side of the story…. but hear is my question and it is a question!! so why in the USA is spearing (taking of a fish) bad? That said and before you give a response look across the ocean to Germany were you keep the one fish you catch and they get bigger pike than us state side! I know Europe is diff than the US but….. just think about that and how we (CPR guys) act too spearers …….. take it in and think!!!!! we all love our sport and we need to help each other so we can carry on a tradition!! am out.

I will be up there also…… just remember we single handedly destroyed ML’s pike populating buy not having a hook mortality and releasing poorly hooked fished. But by intending to eat every fish we take and the rest are left untouched and unknowing we were there!

I will be one guy with a dog and his portable… and room cost is not a make or break point for me( if you get that?) but am not interested in paying for a guide. I am good and will go with the flow… I will have a small grill so I can eat when I need to ( med. reasons) but we could use it for lunch also.

I would have told them to hang on and then call the DNR…..

With all the doom and gloom about musky’s getting speared has anyone heard of one getting speared? I had a friend put up some cool video of musky’s swimming through his hole….

for everything I hear and from friends that have put many hours in the darkhouse, its mostly been lots of dogs fish taken along with a few pike!

Can anyone steer me to another place to stay…. NEED it to allow pets because I fish with my dog out of town!!

I have been of 4-stroke fan for about 10 years now, just cause of the fuel savings.

I “Hate” etecs and so does my brother who HAD an 08 that was( he just bought a yammy) on its 3 power head/ second brain box, and 2nd oil tank…. last time it blow up the engine leaned itself out to after 9 hours.

now we both are tiller guys and speed is not of importance to us.. but it is nice… anyway IMOP go 4 stroke that and you only get one set of ears might as well run the quietest engine you can to help save your hearing

I have a 2000 617VS t and that 25 gal. gas tank is in the bow….. and it does help if you have more than 1/2 tank of gas….. love my boat for size/ride and CHEAP all day fishing… but wish it had the new ones storage.
