The Gone Fishin’ Club was started about 15 years ago by a few people looking to fish a number of the various lakes that are within the area. We do not focus on just one lake for each event, but rather the various lakes within a page on the platt book. That way we can fish a number of the smaller lakes that are plentiful throughout the region without having too many boats on any one lake. The rules are set up to give points for all species of fish based on length. We fish every other Wednesday but it is set up to be able to fish any time on Wednesday to give opportunities to those who work 2nd or 3rd shifts. The cost is $25 for the entire season with all of the money being paid back out throughout the year. Normally we pay 1st, 2nd, 3rd places plus big fish based on total points for the event.
