I would highly recommend going propane. And ya watch Craigslist or Facebook marketplace. There are a lot of nice augers for sale since guys are jumping on the electric bandwagon. I have a Eskimo P1 Rocket that works awesome that i would recommend.

I have used my helix 7 all winter and had any issues in below zero temps, I did upgrade to a better battery

Does anyone use a leader with there braids? I am more of a hole hopper so I typically use mono sufix magic ice with a leader to prevent line twists, witch are kinda a pet peeve of mine.
