I have the mounting bracket from RAM and have had a lot of problems getting and then keeping a signal. I got the idea from someone on this site about industrial strength velcro and it works great.

my bro-inlaw just bought a new opti and the dealer told him that when the water temps are cold the opti will idle higer until the motor warms up and then idle back down. from what i was told it sounds normal with the cold water/air temps.

I have run one for the last 2 years and have never had an issue. I avg about 100-125 days on the water and it doesn’t matter if it is July or November it has always started right away with out an issue and has run great.

Also – is there any effect on performance with internal vs. external GPS antenna?

I have one more question – how does the 332 compare to the 334? From what i can see the only difference is that the 334 has an internal gps antenna, is that correct?

Thanks again for all of your guys help. A buddy of mine got me hooked on this web page last fall and ever since then I have been getting more and more additiced to it. From watching the site as often as I do I have come to really respect a lot of the guys opinions and figued I would get some good advice.

    Thanks for the advice.

An employee Gander Mountain told me that you could update the X-15 via lowrance’s web page to handle all of the current navionics cards – does anybody know if that is true or how that works?
