I may just have one of those laying around in my garage. I’ll have to take a look tonight

Yes we have seen this a couple times before. We have been removing the grey remote and the black box of that stereo and replacing with a self contained one. Takes a little doing but there is no extra holes and fits quite well. All covered under warranty.
I guess I need to get an appointment made. I’ve had stereo issues for the last year and a half…I just haven’t made the time to get it corrected. Love to hear under warranty. Ramsey SBC will be getting a call
August 21, 2014 at 2:29 pm #1447429Definitely not.
Rod socks are the way to go. Keeps them organized. I think I’ve got 9 rods in mine right now with room for more!
Putting tubes in limits the storage.April 4, 2014 at 11:29 am #1401792Quote:
Three games into the twins season and Mauer is already DHing after the big move to first base.
I laughed when I saw that yesterday. Old habits must die hard for Gardy
April 4, 2014 at 7:46 am #1401736I got the snap-on cover for my old boat at that location, maybe 6-7 years ago.
Very solid, professional service! I was very pleased with the whole experience!
Oh, and the cover is still in great condition! (sold the boat to someone I know)March 17, 2014 at 11:40 am #1396827I had a similar thing happen in my old boat and it was a relay switch that was going bad.
replaced that and it was back to perfect.Could be something to look into.
**Note: I am far from mechanical, so I’m sure relay switch is not the correct term

Drill 2 small holes next to where the reel butts up against the plastic organizer and install 2 small screw eyes. Then use a small 4″ bungee cord to go in front of the reel. Rinse & repeat for however many reels you put in there..
Any chance you have a picture of this?
I was contemplating rigging up something with velcro to spread the full width of each rod slot. Was hoping for a 1 strap connection opposed to a differnt ‘hook’ for each rod. Was planning to tackle this once boat is back in my garage in a few weeksFebruary 4, 2014 at 2:45 pm #1385910Quote:
Jaws wasn’t too bad either.
I didn’t know he did a Jaws impression. That was perfect!
January 31, 2014 at 1:18 pm #1384840One thing to remember is that you only pay all that interest if you take the full term to pay off the loan
I’ve got one of those crazy loans you’re talking about, but I did it for the potential unknowns that can come up in coming years.
I currently pay well over my monthly payment and will have it paid off much sooner than the full term. Thus saving a ton of interest
BUT. It keeps my minimum monthly payment low, which allows me some flexibility if I desperately needed it at some point in the future.
It also helps because now my boat is worth more than I owe, so if I had to sell it I could get out clean.November 8, 2013 at 8:00 pm #1204839Quote:
Interesting. It will be a welcome addition for all the Skeeter guys in the metro area.
Definitely sweet!!
CongratsJuly 24, 2013 at 8:54 pm #1185427In response to the original post from a while back that you referenced…I tried this last time out.
I must say, it worked perfect! As advertised
Wish I’d been doing it all alongJuly 24, 2013 at 8:38 pm #1185423Both of my kids started out with a Spongebob pole. Personally, I didn’t think it mattered as long as they were out having fun with it! It was most important to get on some small panfish to make it exciting.
Worrying about catching fish, as opposed to what they catch them with.I moved my oldest (now 7) up to a 5 foot combo w/push button zebco style reel. It was just a cheap combo from the man’s mall. I opted for this after an experiment with one of my spinning reels didn’t go too well
He loves it and does really well with it.I will say, I did some trolling with them and for that they got to use “Daddy’s Gear” (my back-up poles w/line counters). They absolutely loved that.
The line counters made it very simple. “Let out line until you see X number”
Long story short, I don’t think there is a wrong answer. It’s about getting the kids on the water having fun!!
July 2, 2013 at 4:13 pm #1181366I can’t comment on price differences or performance differences between the 150 and 200.
Just wanted to comment because I have the MX1825 w/F150.
I think it’s a great motor and the performance has been perfect. I’ve hit 50 mph with 2 people and “normal” fishing gear load. However, I rarely feel the need to run it wide open, so moving to a 200 didn’t even factor into my decision. I don’t need a couple extra MPH.
Granted, when I bought it was not an F200 as the option…and I wanted the 4 stroke.
I’d be curious to know the price difference, but doesn’t seem worth it to me.
Just my opinion. And I am not looking at resale, plan to own for a long timeAbsolutely LOVE the boat!
June 27, 2013 at 1:11 pm #1180471I converted to a bunk trailer last year. It took me a few trips to cleanly make the adjustment too
I’d say from my experience, the most important piece is backing the trailer in the correct amount.
It took me a few trips and a few loads to figure out how far to back it. once I got that straight, the loading became much easier.
Also, I learned to not be timid in driving it all the way up the trailer.
Just takes practice!June 21, 2013 at 4:48 pm #1179233Interesting, I may have to try this.
Do you bleed them right after catch before putting in livewell…or at the launch before heading home?

fits like a glove access ports for the gas tank
This reminded me. The cover from Skeeter also has the access panel for the gas tank!
Very nice to have!
June 11, 2013 at 6:12 pm #1177155I’ve got the Custom Skeeter cover. Sorry, I don’t have any pics with the cover on.
It does not cover the motor.
No complaints about the cover, it’s worked well thus far!
June 11, 2013 at 1:15 pm #1177056Thanks for the info guys!!
I guess I’ll have to just use waypoints. It seems like a very functional thing they left out of the HDS units.
bummer.
June 10, 2013 at 8:31 pm #1176829Thanks for the replies, but I guess maybe I need to re-state my issue.
I can create waypoints and change their symbols on my HDS-7.
but….
Back on my 520C I could create waypoints AND I could just add marks to my screen. These marks were not waypoints that I could navigate to. Simply marks/symbols on the screen where you could mark fish you’ve caught or structure, etc…In fact, I seem to remember a video James did (Maybe night trolling???) where he added a bunch of fish marks, but then only added a singular waypoint to mark the entire area.
Did this functionality disappear with the HDS units?June 6, 2013 at 3:53 pm #1176100I had the opportunity to visit Normandy while on vacation over 10 years ago. It was simply awe inspiring, breath taking.
To this day I still talk about it being one of the best vacation ‘day-trips’ I’ve ever experiencedTo All those that were there that day
And to those that continue to serve!April 23, 2013 at 6:30 pm #1132883Appreciate the vote of confidence guys!
I might just have to jump into this project….and some
March 28, 2013 at 11:55 am #1156929I think the wagers this year will have to be to take the OVER for every game runs scored.
Our offense should be able to put up some runs and we know our pitching will give up a lot of runs

March 21, 2013 at 4:32 pm #1154713Hey – late to reply here, been way too busy
I have the 1825 with Full Windshield.
Absolutely love the boat. Zero regrets.
The storage is phenomenal In fact, I still need to go out any buy more gearI was able to fish a couple different times with 4 big guys and it was more than comfortable. Also for the first time I got to take my entire family (wife, 2 kids and my brother) out for a fishing trip (old boat was too small). Plenty of room, even with kids roaming around. The wife even had plenty of room to sun tan on the bow
I have zero complaints about the boat thus far after one season of use and would definitely recommend it. I can’t say I ever had it on crazy rough water, but I did make a half dozen trips to Mille Lacs last year and it was great.
