I have wondered how a big box store would of handled the situation. I bought it from a bait shop where I do the majority of my fishing. I would rather buy local if at all possible, but I’m not sure that will happen on my big ticket items anymore.

30 day turn around seems a little excessive to me, but maybe I’m just impatient. Good thing we have good Ice in Iowa this year or that could take up the majority of the ice season.

One takes an image and stretches it to fit the screen while the other camera fills the screen with the correct number of pixals for an undistorted view of what’s happening under the water.

I’ve told a number of folks before, the best advice anyone could give a underwater camera buyer is to go to a store and compare images side by side. Point the cameras in the same direction.

Look at the size of objects, how close or how far away they are and which camera more closely matches the correct colors. Play with the menu controls to try to obtain the best matched colors.

There’s a reason MarCum is a bit more expensive.

On the other hand, only get the one you can afford.

So will the new Marcums use the correct pixels or will they stretch those as well?

They really should trade down to the 10-15 range pick up a couple more picks in the process and then select LT Riley Rieff from Iowa. You get a starter along the offensive line for the next 10-14 years and you get to solidify other positions with the extra picks.

with what year your looking at make sure the tires are in good shape. The tires on the Acadia are very spendy. Price a set of them and you will be shocked.

Have had awesome luck using plastics under the ice on big gills. Northland Impulse, little atom, and gulp make some awesome plastics. I haven’t bought live bait for gills in two years. Big gills love the wiggle of plastics.

I live about a half mile from the lake. I would like to pull it from there expecially weighing in at 180 pounds that would be a pain lifting in and out of a vehicle by my self.

Do you typically wear these boots with the pant leg within the boot or outside?

I run the pant leg inside most of the time. Keeps my pant leg dry and helps cut down on the rubbing on my lower calf.

I love my muck boots.. dry warm and comfortable. I put on a heavy wool sock and I’m ready to ice fish all day.

I have a Rancher as well would like to do an otter box, but worried I wouldn’t have any room for a passenger. From time to time I have someone jump on the back. Anyone know if its still possible to get someone back there?

The 1825 looks like a nice rig for the money, but that front deck just doesn’t look big enough to handle two guys chucking muskie baits.

I would stay away from a jeep. I work at a dealership and most Jeep/dodge/crysler products scare me. Always seems like something is going wrong.

got the girlfriend covered, but just bought three new rods this spring. Was hoping to add one last rod to the arsenal for the year, but who knows might take two rods. Still would like to know between the two rods which is better for riggin. I’m a die hard st. criox fan, but love gary and keith and they make a lot of money fishing. So I’m guessing they know a thing or two about rods.

I have a St. Croix Legend Elite I use for my main rod when rigging, but looking to add a second rod for rigging and slip bobber fishing. We can use two lines in Iowa. Want to spend around $100, but would like it to handle both applications. I have it narrowed down between these two just looking for a testimonal on either the Eyecon ECS76MLXF Slip-N-Rig 7’6″ ML X-Fast or BPS walleye series 7′ M jigging/rigging rod.

The history report would be a good idea, quiz the dealer too he should have a pretty good idea where this boat came from. I work for a car dealer and I watch the online manhiem auction all of the time. It usually gives a pretty accurate selling description on the vehicles or boats.

Remember when you buy something with a salvaged title it won’t be worth as much when it comes to trade or sell it down the road. If you plan to own it for a long time and everything checks out go for it.

I would also look into if the boat was a repo or trade in. I worry about how well a repo was was taken care of, if they didn’t have the money to pay for it, did they have the money to maintain it? If it was a trade in well that could just be a dealer needing to free up some cash flow.

Do your homework on something like this.

I haven’t had any problems with mine. Have used it in all weather conditions and worked just fine. Have bounced it around in my sled while being pulled at 40 miles per hour and survived without a hitch.

I have the exact set up your talking about. I had an LX-5 for my main flasher and purchased an Ice Troller for hole hopping and a second flasher for a tag along. I have sort of mixed feelings on the Troller. Its a nice little unit for the price, but it sure isn’t an LX-5.

It is handy for following behind a buddy drilling holes checking for depth and finding fish. For actually fishing I find the black lines hard to read it does the job, but I prefer color. I have used it alot over my dead stick when walleye fishing and really like it in that situation.

If I had something like “bee” has to connect it to my leg or ATV it would make whole hopping easier. But there isn’t much advantage to the troller if you have to carry the performance pack around too.

If I was going to do it again I would purchase an LX-1, but the troller does get the job done and maybe your fishing style will suit that better.
