The oxygen sensor is there to insure that the heater has enough oxygen to burn efficiently. With the lack of enough oxygen the heater will produce more Co which will kill you. It is added on most non vented heaters as a safety feature so you are not overcome by gas. I always check that the low oxygen sensor is working properly before the start of fishing season. And always verify your Co detector is working every trip out.

I fished next to my vexilar FLX-28 with no interference problems. Very sharp display. Will see this week how it works next to my vexilar and my buddy’s two marcum units.

Here is the regulations. You need the sticker and 2” ID numbers/letters on the exterior of fish house. With the # on your door (exterior) they can check to see if your license is current with that information.

I use my DNR license # on my door in 2” letters. I won’t use my name or DL# anymore. I got mine for $10 + shipping from a guy in the cities.

Looks like a great tool to use. Only problem it’s not runnable on a Mac. There are a lot of people that use Mac and not windows. Should be supported on both platforms.

I’ve used a 10” big volt in my Yetti for the last 3 years. I have zero complaints. Drills fast and reopening holes is a breeze. The handles are nice also. Not big and wide like my old gas strike master. I also use a slush copter to clean out the holes. The drill is also used to raise the house so that’s not a issue having a drill along.

I set up a helix 7 chirp from my boat to ice a month ago. I’ve fished it next to my vexilar FLX-28 with no interference issues at all. In the flasher mode it is very clear and separation is excellent. In split screen you can both screens at once to see which view you like best. Before you ask, the user name is because I like to drink Don Julio. Here a picture so you can check out the clarity and separation.

Just put together a case with the new ice ducer on my helix 7. It works great out on the ice. The new update makes the flasher mode come to life. Ran it next to my FX-28 up on Red Lake last week with great results. No interference at all. Got rid of the float and made my own swing arm, love it.

I got tired of all the line issues when using rattle reels. What I do now is use my rod line on the rattle reel. Wrap the line around the rattle reel 2-3 times and adjust to proper depth off bottom. Place rod in rod holder with the bail open. When it starts to rattle, remove rod from holder, flip rod tip a couple times to remove from rattle reel and set the hook. No more knotted line to fix in the middle of the night.
