Kevin.. I have found the 20 sw2 is not the prop when I put 4 or 5 adults. The hole shot and porpoising is hard to manage. The local dealer took a 21 bravo 1 F’s off a new engine and said to try it. He wanted me to pop out all the plugs. Now to your question.
I purchased the same hub kit u show..I just finished putting the prop on this afternoon and the kit fit the bravo fs. What concerned me was the instructions show and say for use on a Yamaha to put the hub
bushing on..but none is in the box. Did your kit have the bushing?
Sorry for the long message..it is a question on using the 21, as well as responding to your question.

The engine was delivered with the mounting on the jack plate in the third hole from the top hole. I dropped it down(lowered it) to the very top mounting hole in the jack plate. I will try and get a photo and attach it.

Skeeter 11 & 20..u have been great advice and help. I dropped the 300 down from the third hole to the very top hole. Went out fishing today with full fuel, 3 total folks.. and the canvas top up. I had the 20-sw-2 on. It was amazing, the hole shot was very good. The engine ran so freely no lugging and the left turn steering effort was vastly easier. Best yet it ran 54.5 @ 5800. I got trim to just under full trim and no blowout!! The tail was a good six feet high. When running at 3300 I was at 29.5/30 mph..again top up. At 3300 the burn rate was 4.2 mpg. Can’t thank you enough.. it’s truly a good performer now. yay

Appreciate the comment. Not sure what economy to expect. I have the engine down and hope to get more trim b/4 blowout. That should help with economy.

Skeeter 20..I dropped it to the top hole. I’ll have it in the pond tomorrow! I’ll let u know how it works. What fuel economy did u get on your 20 sw2 at around 32-34 Rs?

I have a new 2190/with 300 yamaha as well as 9.9 kicker. The delivered prop is salt water2, 20/15. With full fuel, 3 adults and a average load of gear. engine on 3rd hole from top on 8″ factory jack plate

The wot is 5600 and 53/54 on the GPS. Hole shot is bad, I can only get the trim just to half and I blow out on plane or in a turn. At 3300 I get 30 mph in calm winds. Only 28 in any headwind.
    Fuel economy is 3.9 mpg
I need good hole shot, good economy at 30 mph (that’s the speed my partner’s prefer to run). I also need more bow lift and good control/handing/ fuel economy in the rough
water/short waves we have on LOW. I have always run 4 blades on all my past tin boat’s. Is the Rev4 my best choice? What pitch? Very much appreciate the voice of experience!

I think Cory runs the turbo 1. But I am looking for some advice. I know the boat can go 58 fairly consistently just haventer seen anything over 56 yet. Thanks for the reply
