I actually have two of them on my dash. I use one for my GPS and one for depth, etc. I have had pretty good luck with them. I have felt that for the money, they are decent.

I just put White Caps on my boat a month or so ago and they are great. He custom fits them to the boat and if he installs them, he cuts them right there and you are in an out in less than an hour. I think they are a great product.
September 9, 2013 at 10:38 pm #1193971If you are looking for something on the more formal side, Midi’s is a good place in Fitger’s. It has good food and atmosphere.
Little Angie’s is a mexican restaurant that is good as well located in Canal Park…a little more casual.
JJ Astor’s at the top of Radisson Hotel. It is a circular restaurant that spins so you get a great view of Duluth…pretty nice.
Lastly, I would suggest Bellissio’s in Canal Park. It is a formal Italian Restaurant.
September 2, 2013 at 4:06 am #1192411I was told that Scotty makes the Cabelas rod holders if you have either of those. Most others are different.
August 11, 2013 at 1:06 pm #1188919I do not follow that. I believe the separate banks are for the battery set up, not the charger. One cord from the charger should go to one battery, the other to the 2nd battery. This will fully charge both.
August 6, 2013 at 2:40 am #1187826If you are concerned with a chiro wrenching you, go to Lexington Chiropractic in Lexington. He does not crank you but uses a tool called an activator. I have been going to him for years and he does a great job with no pain. He will help you solve the problem, not just a quick fix.
August 4, 2013 at 2:41 am #1187397I had a similiar problem with my trailer where the same time kept wearing out. I brought in to an alignment shop and they straightened it out for $140…problem solved. Put a new time on it and it works just fine. The name of the place is Andover Wheel and Frame. They did a great job and it was quick.
Good luck.
July 28, 2013 at 3:22 pm #1186097I had the same problem with my 2002 Alumacraft. I brought it to George’s Repair Center in Ham Lake. They told me that Alumacrafts were known for leaks until about the mid 2000’s and the leaks were due to corrosion…leaky gas tanks combined with some electrical current running through the boat? I understand that Alumacraft has since fixed the problem but it did not help me out any. They told me that in order to completly fix the issue, they had to take out the section of the hull that was leaking and weld a new section in. This meant taking out the gas tank, etc. They told me that I would be $800 in, at least and that the work would not be guarenteed because corrorsion may return.
My best advice, if you are going to have the boat long term, it may be worth the fix or at least bringing it into a repair shop for an estimate. I ended up selling mine (took a huge loss) with complete disclosure of the issue for the person who bought it.
Good luck.
July 22, 2013 at 10:37 pm #1184908I have used Trojan a while ago and did not like them. I switched to the Cabela’s batteries and they seem like a very good battery for the money. I have very little issue with them.
July 22, 2013 at 10:35 pm #1184907I did not see it but bummer for that person. I had a boat that got swamped a couple of years ago…it is not fun to clean out and the damage is not always noticed right away.
July 22, 2013 at 10:31 pm #1184906I have seen them for sale at Thorne Bros. for $5.00. I believe they are 9 foot cases. They are specific for shipping rods.
July 21, 2013 at 1:01 pm #1184689I have a couple of rips in my cover, what have you found to be the best patch or repair method?
Thanks.
July 3, 2013 at 9:29 pm #1181632If it starts to happen again, switch snells with your parnter….in fact, I have even switched rods. If you still are catching them, it is how you are holding your rod and how you are lifting it of bottom. I did this once and we discovered that it was the way I was continually lifting and making sure I was close to the bottom.
Good luck.
July 2, 2013 at 2:36 am #1181275I spoke too soon. As soon as I got done typing my first post, I received a response from Lowrance. I cannot share two units with one transducer as I would have wanted to.
July 1, 2013 at 10:30 pm #1181239My puck is located in the bow of the boat and it has been fine for me. I have heard the best location is in the back near the transducer because itis nearest to the reading of the sonar…
June 17, 2013 at 10:29 pm #1178369Nice report and great job. I was on the Pond on Saturday and the bugs were terrible. Fishing was not bad either.
June 5, 2013 at 12:04 am #1175622I have from bibs and a jacket from Gamehide. Nine years later, they are still in excellent shape and I have had them out in extreme weather.
June 4, 2013 at 11:59 pm #1175620I hope he can keep it up…we need these young players to start playing well.
June 4, 2013 at 12:16 am #1175372If you could check, that would be great. My gps does not take any size over 512 MB. If it is this size, shoot me a price for what you want.
How much do you want to the 27c?
Thanks.
May 27, 2013 at 10:21 am #1173605Mille Lacs has some great smallie fishing, I have to get there soon. Congrats on the success.
May 16, 2013 at 1:15 pm #1171296From what I have been told, this has been an issue with some models from Alumacraft. I did some research about this and found multiple converstations including one on IDO regarding the same issue in 2007. It is a combination of gasoline and electric current running through the metal. I can get it fixed but there is no guarentee it will not happen again…
Needless to say, I am frustrated and disappointed and I will never purchase another Alumacraft.
Thanks for the input, fellas.
