I’ve been doing the same thing for a couple years – I bought an older used Clam 1 man and been hauling it in the trunk of my car. No way you can fit a 2 man in the back seat or trunk and that extra weight sucks out on the ice. One way you can save space in your car and weight on the ice is by removing the seat and sitting on a bucket inside the shack. If you’ve never owned a shack, then you’ll be so happy to have one you could care less about what you’re sitting on inside the shack. There is a newer style shack called the Jason Mitchell Blazer which is really lightweight with no seat. You just sit on a bucket. Should fit in a car and really affordable too as far as flip-overs go.
