I hit bottom going through there a couple times a year with motor trimmed up high if I don’t hit it just right when water is low like right now or late summer it gets tight. Wish they’d dig it out just another foot. We have a cabin on Cedar and probably should’ve chosen another lake just based on the fishing. Cedar is a tough fishing lake for the species I prefer target(walleyes/muskies), I find myself fishing surrounding area lakes more and more. But it is a gorgeous body of water on the plus side. Good luck!

I think it’s rather short sided.

Dang, I was hoping to be on the long side ;)

I think one can infer your agenda, casting doubt on yet another study that indicates musky don’t have a negative impact on walleye population. Still waiting to see “these studies” that have been done long before.

I think your beyond reasonable conversation as your so entrenched with your beliefs. Not to be a dig at you we just look at gathering info differently.
How’s that for Mn passive aggressive.

You wouldn’t be putting this much energy into replying to comments on this topic if you weren’t anti musky…me reading between the lines.

My oldest loves em for some reason. He usually catches 2-3 a season off our dock. Biggest last year was a 34”. Nasty critters if you ask me, and they do “bark” when you’re unhooking em.

I’ll be up for musky opener this weekend. Hoping to figure out how to catch some walleyes out there this summer as well.

If the wind would blow just a little this evening the ice would go out on Cedar. It’s on the edge today, next windy day should do the job.

I noticed that too…I think the pressure will drop a bit when the Gull muskies reach a “fishable” size in 5 years or so.

I’ll maybe do some looking shallow for walleyes. In the weeds or inside? So far learning Cedar has been challenging, can use any help I can get, thanks.

I got a small one(32ish)and lost a big one(48/49 ish)opening weekend on Cedar, no followers just the two bites over two days. Last weekend was all walleye fishing for me on Cedar, which was brutal. Anyone have any tips for walleyes on Cedar? I pulled a slow death rig from 14-30 ft around th big islands in the big basin, also what I think is called the “Gold Coast”, and the rocky neck down area in the middle part of the lake. Nothing but a few bass. Spent yesterday evening jigging with a jigging rap and ripping rap on some rock 12-30 feet deep with zero bites.
