I knew about the comm companies.. We will be a private owned shop that will have alot to offer and on a very busy highway. The other brand we will offer is BowTech. But I sure would like to be able perhaps to sell Matthews. It’s funny, that I fished the FOM South with a couple of the guys that work there. But do you think I can find there addresses now….

Slop and guys that watched this show. I read the response of the TV producers on what happened. However, I did not read anything about a rematch or the Clausen lost the match. So I take it, Clausen, even after everything that happened won the match? If Clausen, off camera was going to give Brett a fish of his, why did’nt he do the right thing and DQ himself???

Overall, I do like the show….but missed this show.

Just a quick thought on tourney. All of us that do fish some kind of tourneys know how much we all spend every year on baits, gas, yada yada, the whole nine yards…Alot right!?? Not to mention money spent at local business.

Ok, now do away with tourneys. How much will that effect on eveything. And I do not mean in just one year. How many business will be affected. I know I will not need 30 differnt jigs and numerous different kinds of plastic. Why would I? So blow that out, and me not buying boat gas or food….get my drift… I, alone will not spend over 5000 bucks a year on fishng tourneys. Thats is everything counted together. Not that much, right. No big deal. Now how many tounrey guys will that affect? How many licenses will NOT be bought. I will probably quit and sell my boat…..

So where will the DNR get money do fund there stuff???? From the weekend fisherman???? Yeah, right!!!!!!!

So why is the Northern DNR so diff from the South????????/

Peta…what more can one say. You know in one of the fishing magazines they have the “Day on the Lake” withcertain pro’s. You know to see how they find fish and stuff. I’d like to see a “Day in the life of Peta”. To actually track some of these wholly rollers and see if they actually live by what they preach. Peta is against alot more than killing animals. So wouldn’t it be nice to see how they actaully live and how many times an animal plays a part in there live. From eating to clothes to perfumes…….And then we could blast them and their way of life!!

Lots of you guys have very good points on the future of Ethanol. But the one negative thing I hear from you and fear, is again our goverments involvement. To bad they (our goverment) isn’t willing to help find other ways of reducing fuel costs or other ways to produce fuel for us…

My 2 cents on the subject is two fold. I think ethanol will be only short term. But it wil be a good short term. More like a fad in the fuel industry. But I think the future fuel industry must find some other kinds of fuel. The rising costs of gas are uncalled for and will keep rising if we do not find something else. Or we need to tap into our own oil fields. We are to reliant on other foreign countries that basically screw us, and our government don’t really care as they receive benefits from these companies. I think the future will be found in Hydrogen or some kind of fuel that has not been discovered yet. One thing about ethanol, it doesn’t need to made from just corn…..other countries are using this method quite well (cheaper), hopefully we can………

Its the Regional tournament and not the Nationals. To be honest, there are alot of us not happy with the selection. As this lake will be very small for over 130 boats to fish…

I read this proposed issue with the Petersen Lake erosion for Pool 4. After all the reading and this will cost around 1.4 million dollars. I have to say that it would be just as effective to pile or add more rip-rap to the shoreline than it would be to construct this so-called “berm” that goes out about 150 ft into Petersen Lake. Of course this is an “uneducated” person opinion…mine. But it really does not make any sense, other than to create more work for a few employees. I do not believe, it will be a saving the river thing…

If they want to extend this “berm” into the water further to save erosion, then extend the rip-rap out further. Cheaper, quicker, and would benefit things overall better….

Hey my 2cents only…keep us informed!!

Guys, i talked last night with on of the Merc mechanics that was down there servicing the boat. What wasn’t reported that Ike’s problem were caused by him over reving his motor before take off….once problem started he idled in by the mechanics and 7 min later he was off. Also, i know your thinking 7 mins. In the time he was going back out he saw fish about 100 yds from launch and fihsed there for a limit. This was day 2. He also had self-inflict trolling motore problems by slamming stuff around….

Which I guess would bring me to this conclusion about which boats to use. Would Ike beat the heck out his boat like this, compared to the boats everyone else has to. This was discussed at one of the dinners. They said Ike would, but most of the rest take better care of the BASS boats then theirs….But Sponsorship money does talk….Me, I would like to fish out of a supplied boat. To me I can concentrating more on fishing. There boats are gassed, cleaned, and checked over the night before, after and during the tourney…..I would guess Jimmy Johnson would have seen something like that…

Just shows again that only part of the story gets shown on ESPN…..hey but what do I know…I have to watch reruns on TV

My goals for this year would be this:

Finish in the top 10 at Fishers of Men Nationals in May

Be in the Top 20 of BFL and make Regionals

Make a Top 20 at Regional BFL

Make Regionals for FOM again, and then make a Top 10 again at Regionals there…

plus take a few bucks from my buddies in our little after work tourneys
