I’m sure Walz fudged that ranking like he fudged his military career.

You were at Camp LeJeune your intitled to Millions of dollars because of a lawsuit with the contaminated water. Check it out
This only included those who were stationed there up to 1987. They will not recognize anyone after that date. Not sure why. They still had been trying to remove the old, contaminated water tanks from our yards in early 2000’s. One month before we left (2002), they dug up our yard in the front and said they had to remove an old water tank that was buried and leaking water into our water system. But yet, they still refuse to recognize anything after 1987. My guess is, when I’m long gone, they will start to recognize people up to 2003. Typical government.

I was stationed at Camp LeJeune North Carolina in 83-84. This is huge as I plan to retire before I can take Medicare.I have no input on the VA part of your post, but was wondering if you had any issues regarding the water or whatever I see all the commercials on TV about regarding that base and a lawsuit.
I’m still waiting for them to cover my time in for that issue. I’m USMC from 1999 to 2003. Was stationed at Camp LeJeune and stayed on base housing (TT2). Shortley after leaving, my wife developed a tumor in her lower jaw. We discovered it was due to the toxic water still on base housing at the time. We had to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester where she lost half of her lower jaw. I went to the VA about this, but they said they could not help. But they did offer me 10 percent disability for my hearing loss and tinnitus I obtained in both my ears…thanks
I know the VA does a lot for veterans, but it seems it’s always way later then when we really could use it. Like when I went to college. I went to the VA to obtain information on the GI Bill. They gave me the standard forms and pushed me out the door. Only to find out later I qualified for the “Post 911” GI Bill. I tried to talk to them about getting a refund (to help supplement the medical bills for my wife’s surgery) but was told I had to use it or lose it. Seems like they just offer things a little late and don’t offer things to those who at most times where the only ones in support of us at the time….our spouses.
Anyone know if any of the ramps are open on Pepin? I have a friend coming home from TX and would like to get out if we can.
One goofy thing to check is the prop bore seal (white plastic thing behind prop). Very common for these to break and will cause some ventilation which can act like a misfire.
Just wanted to say thanks 3rivers! I just started having the same issue with my Merc 115 and when I checked that plastic seal, it was busted. Got a new one for 6.50 and runs great!
Sheffib, glad you got yours fixed too! Good luck fishing!
People can’t read calendars anymore, myself included. From the number of boats out there yesterday you would have sworn it was a Saturday
I wouldn’t mind the number of boats so much if they didn’t just anchor up right where someone else was drifting through. This is the reason I have weekdays off and work weekends, to get away from everyone.
I was in the Marine Corp. This day changed so many lives in such a short time. For me, I will always remember the guys I served with and what was to come following that morning of September 11, 2001. Semper Fi and God Bless America
My wife has been bugging me to go to the dells for a long time. im resistant cause i don’t feel the cost to benefit ratio is worth it. Ive been there once but i was a 16 yr old kid who was pre-occupied with girls so i didn’t care about the water slides at the time. What would you say the average cost would be for a family of 5 to stay here for say a 3-5 day trip?
[/quote]
I was in the same boat your in now. Of course, I was over ruled on that fight last year and was forced to go. To be honest, I actually enjoyed it…a little. But for a 4 day trip for a family of 4, total cost for EVERYTHING (including food/activities/lodging ect), was about 2K. Not too bad for a get away. We are considering going again if I can get away from work.
On Tonka, there’s still over a foot and a half of ice. Was out yesterday and caught plenty of fish, mostly small with a few 11 inchers mixed in for Crappies.
I’m seeing the same thing as Munchy. If I google a topic that I know was discussed on here, it comes up with a link to a thread. But when you click on it, it says “Page Not Found”. Something happened and deleted a bunch of posts from this section
The lake had another hatch on Wednesday. Haven’t been down since.
