1986 Kenworth T600. 3406B 425HP with 1425 ft.lbs. torque. 15 double-over tranny with big rubber and 3.55 rears. Mathematically, it ran up to 104 mph. (Speedo maxed out at 85). Topped out twice in Wyoming…when no one was looking.
I called this my 1970 Dodge Challenger RT SE. This was my rocket ship. Had ~409,000 miles on it when this picture was taken in late 1990 – the week I sold it.Attachments:
June 5, 2018 at 11:28 am #1778605I use a cheap set of car floor mats. Not perfect, but works great. Hose them off for reuse…throw them away if they get damaged.
June 1, 2017 at 10:43 am #1697098I own a 2006 Honda Pilot with 197,000 miles and tow a 2004 Lund 1800 Fisherman sitting on a trailer equipped with surge brakes. Fully loaded with fuel and gear, the boat and trailer weighs 3500 pounds or so.
I never had a problem towing the boat, but I don’t beat it up either. Every spring I haul the boat 500 miles north to Sioux Lookout, ON and back. Fuel economy is about 15 mpg.January 23, 2017 at 11:21 am #1667794I own a 2004 Lund 1800 Fisherman with a 140hp Johnson (actually its a Suzuki with Johnson stickers). Bought it brand new 13 years ago without hydraulic steering. I never have had a problem with the cable steering. Don’t think it needs hydraulic steering, but I have nothing to compare.
September 12, 2016 at 11:54 am #163903650 years ago today, my Mom, Dad and my brothers and sisters arrived her in the United States of America. That was one of the greatest days of my life.
That’s all I’ve got to say on this thread!April 6, 2016 at 5:45 pm #1611992You could ask the same question about LH v. RH about hockey players. I’m stunned at the # of guys shooting left-handed. I’ll bet 40+% shoot left while only 10% of population is left-handed.
August 19, 2015 at 8:31 am #1560185Absolutely. I own a 2004 140-hp Johnson – purchased new. It is made by Suzuki. I can get any and all parts from a Suzuki dealer. Other than a one-time valve adjustment by an authorized dealer and replacing the tilt/trim sensor, I have spent $-0- on the motor – except for annual oil changes and winterizations that I perform myself.
January 11, 2013 at 8:43 pm #1129658I can only say it is really cool to see our two sons play different sports. They are now in high school, representing their community athletically and they are having a ball doing it…even though they are not stars for any of the sports.
My wife and I are football- hockey-, track- and baseball-parents. No major complaints. It just comes with the territory. In theory, it keeps them busy and out of trouble. As parents, that works well for us.
Your time will come. Relax and enjoy your kids. Go South St. Paul Packers!!
July 30, 2012 at 2:10 pm #1088210Yup. MN Revenue is taking a look at all businesses. It’s a five-year plan. Send me a pm if you want more information.
July 25, 2012 at 3:10 pm #1087145Tarps Inc. Savage, MN on Hwy 13. 952-890-9390. They keep my boat covers in great condition. Good, prompt, friendly service.
February 18, 2012 at 6:04 pm #1040419Here’s what I know. I have been fishing every June on Lake Abrams (Sioux Lookout, ON) since 1997. I always stay at Winoga Lodge. Dick Mansfield and his son, Troy can help you out with fishing Abrams, Minnetaki, Botsford or Lac Suel. Good, hard working people. Check them out at http://www.winoga.com.
They also have a couple of fly-in fishing camps that I hear are terrific, but I’ve never been to them.
February 7, 2011 at 9:42 pm #934772In that area of the Tri-County Corridor, you have to stop almost every mile. According to the SPPP, alcohol was a factor. Never mix it up. Be safe.
October 21, 2010 at 1:45 pm #905324It’s been a fun run. Hopefully it continues at Ettinger Field next Tuesday night when the playoffs begin!!
January 12, 2010 at 5:09 pm #273528I’d recommend Winoga Lodge in Sioux Lookout, ON. Owner Dick Mansfield is a great guy and will put you on the hot spots, be it walleye, lake trout or northerns…even eelpout just for laughs. We generally take our own boats up there, but Winoga Lodge provides boats if you want to rent. Dick can also take you on a guided trip to Lac Suel. My family has been using Winoga Lodge since 1996. Can’t say enough good things about the place. Have never considered any other resort – great facilities. Winoga also has a couple of outposts that I’ve never been to, but I hear the fishing there is even better. http://www.winoga.com
October 23, 2009 at 1:33 pm #811010I drive through the two in Richfield on 66th Street every week day. I think they are a riot!! Driving requires a bit of gamesmanship….roundabouts add a little extra something to the trip. There’s a certain percentage of drivers that just aren’t ‘with it’. That can lead to serious consequences. I prefer to encounter those drivers in a roundabout versus a standard intersection. Just my 2 cents worth!
May 20, 2009 at 1:30 pm #778270While we’re on the subject of rivets: I own a 2004 1800 Fisherman with a 140 Johnson (Suzuki). It’s used mostly for family fun, but I do take it up to Sioux Lookout, ON every year with my sons. The boat spends most of its time in my garage. Sounds like rivets can be a problem. Any other things I should keep my eye on in order to prevent unscheduled downtime? I haven’t had a lick of trouble with the boat or motor since purchasing it new, but you never know.
September 11, 2008 at 7:41 pm #711047J. Just a quick question. What do you mean when you say “raising your motor 1 hole up”? Isn’t that what the trim button is for, or am I way off base here??
Thanks in advance,
David
