Nice catch but one question I was fighting with about making the trip up there was would I “need” a mode of transport or do you think hiking around a day or two would be worth it?

its a big lake, it is nice to have a mode of transport to get on the fish, but you could walk.

Vmc tungsten fly is a killer but For me the fish wouldn’t touch it if I didn’t make sure my knot was pulled to the bottom of the eye hole. By doing this it makes the jig sit horizontal and I tipped mine with wigglers or waxies.

I have an inline reel made by clam, it is extremely light weight and works great for the type of fishing you would be doing.

Just by taking a quick look at the lake, I would definitely try that hole off of the creek mouth. I would imagine there would be actively feeding walleyes there.

F13 is a big bait. They trying to eat it or mate with it? LOL!

when you retrieve the bait really slow I have had eyes come from come up and smack it right off the surface. Sometimes in 20+ feet of water.

I was just up there on Monday! Bite was hot on red/gold slender spoons and red/gold little cleos!

Took the words out of my mouth! I was going to say Pink/Gold slender spoon with minnow head!
