Dock is in the water at Ft Snelling state park.
Really? It wasnt on Sunday, is the water coming back down or not projected to rise?
I appreciated the update, it was a little sketchy launching solo there with no dock

My sense is that the MN water is just slightly warmer in April than the Mississippi, but what the heck do i know
Light rail is a great way to go. Some bars also have park and rides for major concerts
That was the page that sparked my curiosity! Seeing lakes opening up in the southern half of MN, snow should start melting in the west and NW and bring some water at some point.
Any flood forecasts this year? I think rainfall drove much of the high water in 2024, my sense is that there might not be a lot of snow up north in 2025.
Has anyone seen or does anyone have a prediction for what 2025 might look like?
I think there is a 10-20% chance Cousins in back in purple as the backup in 2025. ATL will have to cut him and eat his salary, he would be fairly cheap.
I have good luck with them at times, you know pretty quickly if they are going to hit them or not.
My gal had 5 workmates and a couple from her team on this flight, they are all still shaken up. Delta didnt even give them toothbrushes or a change of clothes so they had to sit in fuel soaked clothes, no cell phones, purses, wallets….horrible things happen, how you deal with it separates good companies from ones who fall short. 30k isnt going to cut it.
Waterville Mayor Lutheran have two twins ranked #1 (Friedrichs), would be interesting to see twins get state titles. I knew their dad from my wrestling days in the late 80s early 90s and their uncle was on our HS wrestling team a few years before me….his nickname was cavemen due to his excess body hair.
I haven’t seen so much talk about a blown tranny since…..oh nvm
Facebook Marketplace Pros: Lots of traffic, takes minutes to snap a few pictures and post
Facebook Marketplace Cons: More time on the back end sorting through messages, tirekickers, people throwing out lowball offers, people wanting to look at the vehicle then not having cash on hand
Trading in vehicles is brutal. You literally leave a few grand on the table at minimum. My biggest issue is that if I say I’m selling a vehicle on my own, I end up keeping the damn thing driving it occassionally and then before I know it I’m renewing tabs and insurance and the collection grows
Trading isn’t as painful as it seems, when you look at the sales tax savings on the purchase, the “cost” vs private party sale is usually half what you think it will be. Considering time, effort, risk of private party, it can make sense.
Carsoup and Autotrader are still out there. You can go to Carvana and see what they will give you on the spot.
My son is going to be looking for a used car soon, what do you have!?
My dentist is a college buddy, he tells me what teeth to watch and when they might need attention. When there is work, he gives option and not just the high buck fix. For the record, I rarely see a bill no matter what direction I go for treatment.
The only downside is his dental hygenist used to be his girlfriend, so I know where those hands have been (and insist that she wears TWO pairs of gloves).
BTW, its a hard sided camper trailer, no motor or cab
I was going to say tannerite!
Do you have a picture of the slip? I am not sure why you couldnt nose in. I have an extendable pole (no jokes please) in my boat that I can use to push, pull, grab docks when needed. Coming from many years of only having a tiller, it really comes in handy in current or wind.
Well, they will now that you posted it all over the interweb!!!!
His technique can’t be that secret. Isn’t it all filmed ? Just watch a few videos and study what he does.
Yesterday we experienced a very finicky bite. I brought out my sister and old man. I caught probably 15 fish to their 1 because they couldn’t figure out the technique to get them to bite. Less is more in those light bite situations. A spring bobber is also very useful even though I didn’t have one.
I am still a crappie rookie, but I watched my buddy when he was outfishing me, he would barely move the jig/spoon at all. I usually try to get them to engage the bait, rise up a little, then just hold it….maybe twitch a tiny bit, but dont raise or lower once the fish is staring at the presentation.
That said, it always comes down to letting the fish tell you what/how they want
Sorry, cant help you, but just be careful, many of the access points are in some narrows and could have current/thinner ice….especially Cross Lake. Upper Whitefish might be a better.
MN/WI looking at a cold front this weekend, does that have the same impact on ice as it doesnt on open water? I spend most of my time on rivers where the fish dont seem to care about weather.

Lately it has been pickles, usually baby dills, I go through 2-3 jars a week. You know what they say about craving pickles. You could be pregnant?
One can hope

WAY TO GO! Nearly 40 yrs anywhere is an epic run. Now I will need to get you up by noon so we can still hit DiGidio’s or the Boca Chica Taco Hut
Im not here to argue, but this USED to be the simplest of exchanges. Times have changed. Govt involved, so many rules and regulations regarding money laundering and fraud that policies have changed. A gas station doesnt have to follow the bank secrecy act, currency transaction reports, etc, banks have just given a clear message to tellers to avoid criminal violations.
As a side note, there is a company in China that has a similar name to my employer, several times a year we get flagged for wire activity and people wont accept our funds or wire to us without us providing extra documentation. It can be a real hassle.
I think someone was farming tilapia in an old brewery on West 7th, not sure if they still are.
I regularly get $20s from an ATM, when I go to my credit union or Wells Fargo
to get larger bills,
they have to log my account number, run the money through and the new bills get electronically dispensed. When I was a teller in the 90s, it was a 10 second process, but not anymore.
