called them both… they said that repairing the control board was outside of their limits… sorry they said… but thanks Guys… you tried.

aren’t onboard chargers the same as converters?

when night time bowfishing you have too keep your batteries charged up all night and the only way to do that is to use a converter that puts out dc power by getting it from ac generator power… the generator runs all night… and it runs the bowfishing lights as well as the converter

Munchy… I like the looks at that controller… i will probably get one.

I use this trolling motor with a AC/DC power converter for night time bowfishing. I’m not sure if the converter is sending out too much at times or not… don’t think so. last week the TM was just lying across my deck… and NOT turned on… but when I started up the generator and converter… the TM control board started smoking. I have the converter hooked up to two batteries for the 24 volts.. and the TM wires are on those same post… so it’s like the converter is hooked straight to the TM.

I’d be happier if I knew someone who could fix these boards… surely there is someone out there.

I’ve been through 4 boards in 4 years… It’s probably all my fault.. but I can’t figure it out.

LOL… I’m not yelling… I’M CRYING…LOL.

After replacing 4 boards at 180.00 a piece over the last 8 yrs… i’m ready to try some other variable switch combo… thanks…Dan
