    Thanks for the update!
I was wondering if the recent warm weather has changed the depth guys are catching walleye in? I am heading up to Stony Point campground this afternoon and would like to narrow down the water I have to cover.

    Thanks!

GEEMAN, have you tried out your 64s yet and if you have what are your thoughts on it.
    Thanks,

I use a perch sweetheart myself for jigging for walleyes. Also many people on this site have had great experiences with the TUC rods.

I have the Woody max. I like them alot and use them all winter as well as during the summer due to them being my only pair of muck boots. They definitely get warm during the summer. As for winter I am pretty good if I am moving around, If I have to sit still for a few hours then my toes will start to get a bit cold.

I have only been out to Devils Lake once, but as far as time of year goes it sure seemed as if mid to late January through February was the time to be on the ice. All of the pictures on the wall were from that time of year. I was out there in mid march and it was a very tough bite on the entire lake. Just my experience.

I have a Otter Cabin and I really enjoy fishing out of it and it is top notch quality. It would not be comfortable to fish 3 people out of it but it is very comfortable fishing with 2 people from this sled. I have also fished out of clams and I think that they are nice as well but I prefer the otter sled’s durability.

I have had that same vehicle for the past 10 years and have not had any problem with the transmission. The only work that I have had to do is replace the alternator at 100,000 miles, replace the water pump pulley, and replace a sway bar and ball bearings at around 140,000 miles. Overall it has been a good vehicle for me but like any vehicle make sure you give it a good look before buying it.

I own a 6’6″ St. Croix Legend Tournament ML-F and have had no problems with it at all. I’m satisfied with the sensitivity of the rod and am happy with the purchase.

I am more of an upland hunter. I would definitely want the dog to be a great upland dog and an ok waterfowl dog. I anticipate training the dog myself. I have been reading both Water Dog and Game Dog which have both seemed like really well written dog training books.

Is it true that british labs overall have a better nose?

James, Has there been any update as to who will be selling these reels? Thanks for doing so much digging!

Thanks for the responses. After seeing the responses I decided I should head to a different lake in the north metro.

I have a 2011 LTWS and love it for going after eyes. I have never fished with a legend elite so I can’t compare my legend tournament to that rod, but I feel as though I can feel everything that my jig is doing with my LTWS; particularly when I am using braid.

    FDR,
I have used my 1000 Sahara on my open water and hard water rods without any trouble. I was a little concerned initially about the reel being too heavy for my ice rod but that has proved to not be a problem.

I wear long johns and a pair of blue jeans for my bottoms and a long john top with a long sleeve shirt with a hoodie over top to keep my top half warm. Finish it off with my bibs and jacket and I am good to go for the day.

I have had good luck with the HT wood tip ups. I have used them for the last two years and have had good success with them provided that you lubricate the spindle occasionally. Plus their price tag is a lot more wallet-friendly than the BD tip ups
