It’s the same as the man made global warming BS that is costing me money. Sensationalism and Agenda. Unfortunately this terrorism will be happening on our turf soon.

My original argument still is valid.
What temperature is the Earth supposed to be?
Until you answer that question, the Man Made Global Warming Fanatics need to stand down. PERIOD. That should end the argument. If it does not, then it is political. They want an agenda.
April 16, 2014 at 4:13 pm #1404673#1. No. Man Made Global warming is BS. I am concerned that there is a political agenda to push forward subsidies on failed Wind, Solar and Ethanol. costing me money and loss of liberty. “they” are already considering putting limits on woodfired heat, campfires etc.
#2 Educate the sheeples.
#3. Yes, I am.April 15, 2014 at 4:28 pm #1404387The simplest explanation for some phenomenon is more likely to be accurate than more complicated explanations.
This is a variation of Occam’s Razor. (Logic)However in this instance, The Hoax of man made global warming, it should read
The simplest explanation for some phenomenon is more likely to be accurate than more complicated fiction.
April 15, 2014 at 3:04 pm #1404356And if increases in atmospheric CO2 are the primary cause of warming, why, from the 1940’s through the mid 1970’s, was the earth cooling when increases in our use of fossil fuels were at their greatest?
There are millions of smart people out there who have been bombarded with this global warming nonsense for so long that they’ve actually come to believe it. The old adage that if you tell a lie often enough it becomes the truth happens to be true, especially when the people don’t get to hear other points of view, something our mainstream media has made sure of over the last few decades.April 15, 2014 at 3:01 pm #1404352CO2 is a beneficial trace gas that exists in such small quantities in our atmosphere, that the idea of it playing any significant role in determining our climate is simply silly. CO2 comprises less than half of 0.1% of our atmosphere, and only 4% of it comes from human activity. That’s 16ppm, or 1 part in every 62,500 parts of our atmosphere. CO2 is plant food, and a key component in all life on earth. Plants need CO2 to grow and produce oxygen. They feed animals (including ourselves). Animals in turn consume oxygen and plant-based foods, and exhale CO2. Without CO2, nothing could be green! This brief video showing the effect on plants of increasing atmospheric CO2 is quite striking.

Ironically, the audacity of lies about CO2 are overshadowed by the most obvious part of the Hoax. The fact is that warming is good! Throughout history, man, as well as all other living creatures, has thrived during the earth’s warm periods, and suffered and starved during the cold ones, a lesson that we’re about to be reminded of in the coming years.
April 3, 2014 at 9:45 pm #1401679I thought the loss of arctic sea Ice would kill the polar bears! Not True.
It also appears that the Antartic sea Ice has grown quite a bit as well. The time frame of 1970’s to the present is a blink in time. I remember we were supposed to be going in an Ice age in the 1970’s. Don’t let a good crisis go to waste.
Dont get me started on ethanol, wind, and solar…April 3, 2014 at 9:38 pm #1401675I posted the below a while back. If you think CO2 is causing rising temperatures you are dead wrong.
we are really coming out of the last ice age…yes still. We have been quite a bit warmer in the past than we are right now. CO2 is a green houses gas and will raise temperatures to a point. At a certain saturation level the temperature stops rising. We are way above the saturation point in which CO2 has any impact. way way above. If you look at CO2 vs. Temp rise it is opposite of what you hear on the news. Historically, Temperature rises first. Then CO2 rises after that. It is based on ICE Core samples taken around the globe.
Another inconvenient fact is that the earth is more productive when it is warmer. Warmer than the last 100 years. Cold climate kills. Warm produces.
But But But Mt. Kilimanjar used to have Snow on top of it!!! Yes true, But it was also surrounded by a rich forest before it was dessimated by people causing an arid environment warming the region. Honestly. What make more sense? Dont get me started on VolcanoesApril 2, 2014 at 9:39 pm #1401457I will repeat this again…
What is the temperature of the Earth supposed to be?
Honestly people.
What is it supposed to be?
Nobody Knows.
Man Made Global warming is a Political position. That’s It.
Let’s use some common sense now, Shall we?
I dont mean to be a Dad, but someone has to.
March 31, 2014 at 9:28 pm #1400820If anyone can tell me what the temperature of the earth is supposed to be, then I will entertain a global warming argument. we are really coming out of the last ice age…yes still. May 30, 2013 at 11:19 am #1174303The St. Croix River valley has been classified as a epidemic Lymes disease area. Lymes is a very serious disease. You may have no symptoms for Decades. It can show up later and diagnosed as Alzheimers. you can be treated but not cured. Get a retest to make sure.
April 12, 2013 at 1:43 am #1161886This is just too easy…Chester is just like me cant get enough of it. tastes good too! A little fur on it even better!
March 17, 2013 at 5:14 am #1152903I understand your frustration. Limiting ammo sucks. But limiting for the “shootings” is a bit odd. Limiting for the shortage, I can understand. I am not a fan of Cabelas. They are over priced on fire arms and ammo.Look at there used gun section sometime. You will say WTF? Cabelas is a good clothing store IMO.
March 9, 2011 at 7:51 pm #945546From the NWS “… given that we have not seen a significant system in the past week (Feb 28th through today, March 7th) we decided to not run the outlooks today as they really will not change. So we are looking for the next outlooks to be updated on March 24th (unless we start to Melt).
With that said, I want to bring to your attention that outlook for the 8 to 14 days period of March 14th – 20th is somewhat concerning with ABOVE Normal Precipitation and ABOVE Normal Temps. Long range models do so a moderating trend, but whether or not it will be warm enough to trigger a melt is yet to be seen.”
We may be in for a flood of record!

September 29, 2010 at 1:30 am #901329Full wake all day today. No wake is at an elevation of 683 ft at stillwater. As of 7 pm today it has not reached that yet. Hubbards captains are very aware of this regulation. Most boaters are not. It does not matter what DNR or the newpapers say. If it is not at 683 at stillwater, wakes are permitted. Tomorrow it will most likely be no wake.
October 2, 2007 at 12:58 pm #612598Take 35 E at the split in Burnsville it meets back up in Forest Lake.
September 18, 2007 at 9:20 pm #609206I put in 2 sandpoints in the last 5 years. I used a 1-1/4 sandpoint with 30 feet of 1-1/4pipe( they come in 5 foot sections) drive cap and couplings. My water table is about 20 feet down. Make sure you drive the well 10 feet below the water table. You can check with a piece of cloth string attached to a large nut or weight. Drop the string and weight in until it hits the bottom pull it up and then measure how far the water mark on your string is. I purchased everything from Fleet Farm in Hudson WI. I heard that you may need a permit to buy a sandpoint from Fleet Farm or any other store located in Minnesota.
It takes 2 guys to get the couplings tight. One on each pipe wrench. You dont want any leaks or you will loose your prime.
Also what really makes driving the point easier is soaking the ground with water for a couple days before you start driving. On my second well I first dug about 4 feet with a post hole digger and then ran a hose in it for a day. Much much easier. I did my first well with a 12# maul and a 6 foot ladder. My second well I used a heavy duty post pounder. Much easier! I have All sand with no clay. If you have all sand it shouldnt take more than a couple hours of pounding. Have fun!
I forgot to mention to turn the pipe a few times after each section is addede as you go down. It help to keep the sand point from being plugged. When you reached your desired depth flush out the well with water. You should not be able to keep the pipe filled with water. It should run back down out the end of the sand point. Then disenfect by pouring a 10-15% bleach water mixture into your well.
June 1, 2007 at 1:30 am #576838As to the $5 Docking fee in Afton: I havent docked thier in 2 years. I dont see any signs regarding a charge. In the past when I docked on During the week, Only 1 or 2 boats would be tied up and no attendant so I didnt pay anyone. I Typically am not out on the weekends because of the heavy boat traffic. I did dock once during the weekend a few years ago and had help tieing up from a boy. I tipped him a 5 for 2 hours. I still think it may be the same. I was by their last week fishing and saw no signs about a charge for docking.
However, Hudson dock is $5 per hour and I have used that several times because it is under continuous watch. I have no problem leaving all my fishing stuff at Hudson Pay dock.May 30, 2007 at 11:20 pm #576399Hey King,
I was also disappointed in the Catfish bar. But I heard that they had new mgmt so my wife and i gave it a try about a week ago. It had been about a year and a half since we had been in. Boy, what a difference in service and food. It was excellent! New menu items and the manager came over to say hello. We asked about the place and he said they brought some help in from the cities. He asked how the place could be better. We said, upgrade the Bathrooms!
We will be back again for sure. Let me know what you think. The decor was the same but a definate difference in the food and service. We had the halibut which was a new item. It was over and inch thick and panfried perfectly.May 10, 2007 at 12:00 am #569782I normally dont make many comments but I had to on this one. I will preface by stating that I am a Biologist by schooling and training. We (Humanity and all the CO2 we produce) are Not, I repeat NOT causing global warming. The earth had a predictable cooling and warming phase of approximately 1500 years. We are just coming out of the little ice age. This is Very well documented, EXTREMELY well documented.
The economic implications of subscribing to human induced global warming is tremendous. We all know how much gas costs now. Every summer it goes up because MN Mandates that between Memorial day and Labor day that all gas contains 10% Ethanol.
Everyone Please Educate yourselves on this matter!! It has HUGE Financial consequences if you let a small minority keep you from the Science. There are many great resources out there. A book I found the best is “Unstoppable Global Warming” by Avery. It is filled with all the science and reproducible and redundant evidence”
Any questions please PM me!!
